Yup, if this team can take the next step within the next couple years, people will flock to this team. This season has already brought a lot of spotlight on this team and people are eating it up. -
I don't see anything wrong with this, people should be excited about a young up and coming team that looks to have a promising future. Its a rare thing in this city.

I've enjoyed watching the raps this year, but I have a feeling they are going to get crushed tonight in their first taste of playoff action on the road against a vet team. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Yeah I found that odd too. Lawries has looked like complete and utter s*** at the plate. 5 HR's doesn't make up for complete s*** almost every other plate appearance. -

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if he is our best SP by seasons end.

Yeah the K's have been fluky, but the D has been outstanding. He relies on good D and if this team can play like this all year, he is going to have some great games.

I don't think he is pitching over his head at all. He has been saved from some great defensive plays. It will all balance out over the course of the season, but a good start is going to make his overall season look a hell of a lot better by seasons end. This is vintage Buehrle.

Agreed. He is our best SP thus far and is the main reason this team is above .500 right now.

That is a fair statement. If this team is out of it a fire sale SHOULD be in order, but I doubt AA concedes the season this year, maybe in the winter.

I get it, but people bring up his salary every time he pitches. The Marlins were idiots for signing MB to a contract beyond his value and the Jays were even bigger idiots for trading for that contract. MB contract isn't a fair reflection of his true worth. Unless he pitches at a CY young calibre season, we're not getting much if anything back for him. Also as for Rogers being at their limit, there is no reason to think they will reinvest any savings back into this team after a head scratching offseason.
