  1. Umpire is bad. He should have 3 walks today.
  2. That's what I've been saying, we were mentioned to be on Groshan a few times and people are acting like that never happened. The mock drafts at least give you a decent idea who we are interested in and I would bank that this year is no different. I wouldn't even be surprised if we took a guy like Michael Busch or Greg Jones. We were connected to those names early just haven't heard much lately.
  3. Yep Conine just had the best game of his career. Pretty cool the second game back from his suspension.
  4. Interested to see if he can turn it around this year.
  5. Forest Wall has been killing it all month, should in AAA soon.
  6. I hope it's not completely over.
  7. f*** yea so pumped to see Biggio! Thought they might consider sending down Drury.
  8. Davis Wendzel is a guy a love, I don't think it's likely he get gets to the second round. The BA report. Notes: Ht: 6-0 | Wt: 185 | B-T: R-R Commit/Drafted: Red Sox '18 (37) Scouting Report: A teammate of 2017 No. 1 pick Royce Lewis at California’s JSerra High, Wendzel quickly found his home at Baylor. The hirsute Wendzel boasts one of the fullest beards and longest mullets in college baseball, making him easily recognizable. Big 12 coaches have noticed his consistent ability to barrel baseballs, and he’s also proven to be one of the most reliable defenders in the conference. Scouts liked Wendzel last year as a draft-eligible sophomore, but he was clear about his intentions to return to Baylor for his junior year. That’s why he slid to the 37th round to the Red Sox. He’ll likely not make it out of the second round this year, as he’s a well-rounded third baseman with a lengthy track record of hitting. Wendzel has more hitting ability than power, although evaluators believe he has the potential to get to average power eventually. He projects as an above-average hitter despite a less than picture perfect swing. There’s some length to his front arm as he begins his swing by dropping his hands in the beginning of his load, then powers it through the zone. But his excellent pitch recognition and strike-zone awareness make it work. Defensively, he’s an above-average third baseman with an above-average, accurate arm who is very reliable—he’d made only one error all year as of mid-May. He’s sneakily athletic and has even slid over to shortstop from time to time for the Bears. Wendzel doesn’t have the power potential of some of the other top third baseman in the class, but scouts’ comfort level with his well-rounded game will ensure he goes high in the draft.
  9. PCL with the juiced balls.
  10. So he has to be getting paid pretty well considering he was still going to be a comp/second rounder. Boras has talked about guys playing in Japan before didn't really expect anyone this young to consider it.
  11. Yikes he just swung at 3 straight balls, all the same pitch.
  12. I really dislike Montoyo. 7-2 lead, a young pitcher deserves a chance to finish that inning. I know he's at 102 pitches but come on, show him some confidence.
  13. He's on an inning limit this year or at least for now.
  14. Fangraphs mock 2.0 is up. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/mock-draft-2-0/ 11. Blue Jays – Jackson Rutledge, RHP, San Jacinto JC (TX) The Jays have been tied to Thompson (who has an elbow that worries some teams despite never having surgery) and Rutledge (who had hip labrum surgery in 2018), along with some of the college bats above if they slide, and prep CF Corbin Carroll, who could be the prep bat who slides just enough to make it to the Diamondbacks’ pick, where they can assert their draft-leading pool.
  15. Klaw did.
  16. BA's latest Mock Draft. Bryson Stott Nevada-Las Vegas SS Notes: We continue to hear hitters mentioned most frequently with the Blue Jays, on both the high school and college side. There are a few to pick from here, including Stott, the top college shortstop in the class, Carroll, who Toronto has scouted heavily this spring, and Baty, who we mocked to the Blue Jays last week. If the Blue Jays are worried at all about Baty’s age or Carroll’s size, Stott makes the most sense here. We've been linked to a college pick multiple times now.
  17. Yep now that the Rays are good and seem like they don't miss a beat on talent, all these extra picks are gross.
  18. Damn after a just returning from a foot injury.
  19. I thought I read the Jays offered Ramirez the best deal but he chose the Marlins cause he thought he would have a better opportunity.
  20. Yea cause this year is different than any other year.
  21. God I hate that all these bad plays are working for him. Gives all the casuals ammo "See it worked that one time!"
  22. Groshans on the 7 day IL, not sure for what.
