  1. With where we are at this point in the season, nothing feels like a bonus game. Basically have to battle to scratch out every win they can for the rest of the season.
  2. Haha, I know. I was just referring to his run back to first base.
  3. Quite possibly. I missed the angle from home. If Cruz is running on contact, it may have been a bit tighter.
  4. A couple of bloop singles, one well hit single, and a ball that would of been a double play ball if it had been any hitter other than Martin. Bad luck. Let's get this inning behind us.
  5. Knuckler looks good. Dickey prefers working in the heat and hopefully the climate in Texas helps him out. Plus the cold bats of the Rangers may also make him look a bit better. *knock on wood*
  6. It would be nice if he could find a trade that would send Johnson out the door for a pitching prospect that is about a year away / who could help us next year. Can't think of a scenario off-hand that would work for that, though.
  7. Usually I don't care much for Zaun, but that was a cool thing to do.
  8. Edwin. He needs to walk his parrot.
  9. I hope we get Tellez. The guy can't run, but he may be able to hit for average AND power down the road. Basically, it would be nice to have a bat to follow in the minors.
  10. Ump is being extremely generous with the strike zone...
  11. Oops, missed those. It is still possible, though. We just need something to be done about the rotation - easier said than done, I know.
  12. It will be if we can't do something about the starting rotation going into next year. Our lineup has been serviceable and I am comfortable with an order that includes Reyes, Melky, Bautista, EE. There are holes further down, but there are very few teams without those holes. Hopefully the top of the order can compensate. The real problem lies with our starters and attention should be focused on what AA will be doing about the rotation. Next year will feature Dickey, Buerhle, Morrow, and Happ. Hopefully we can gain some depth with Hutchison, Drabek, and Perez coming back but we are still a few arms away from being competitive.
  13. That was hard to watch. Poor guy clearly cares a lot.
  14. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9325199 Just watched the story. Hope he can return to form. You would hate to see someone's career end at that early of an age.
  15. Wow, just tuned in to see Rasmus' homerun and a bunch of Jays fans in the stands... random.
