  1. 5 bucks for Bioshock Infinite right now Try getting THAT deal on a console
  2. What about the uphill gardeners and the bikes???
  3. Who costs 1/3 as much.
  4. Meh. Don't really care. Beeston is all but gone anyway and he obviously isn't interefering with AA on deals like this.
  5. I just want AA to acquire 2 good pen arms, don't care if any of them have closer experience. Figure out who slots where in March/April.
  6. Yes! That's part of what makes the deal so awesome and so nuts that Oakland traded him. Donaldson will make a lot more via arbitration than Lawrie but whatever.
  7. I can't believe BBREF doesn't have info on options. They really should.
  8. If it wouldn't cost them 60 million dollars to do so they'd release him in a heartbeat. LOL. Amaro is so full of s***.
  9. ^ Talking out of both sides of his mouth or what??? LOL
  10. The Philadelphia Phillies have been unsuccessful at finding anyone to take Ryan Howard off their hands, but general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. doesn't sound like he's going to keep the 35-year-old first baseman around much longer. Speaking on 97.5 The Fanatic on Friday, via Dan Toman of TheScore.com, Amaro was very frank about where Howard stands with the Phillies: "We've talked to Ryan," Amaro said. "And I told him that in our situation it would probably bode better for the organization not with him but without him. With that said if he's with us, then we'll work around him." While that seems to put a permanent strain on this marriage, Amaro also said the Phillies have no plans to eat Howard's contract just to get rid of him: "No one's going to release Ryan Howard," Amaro said. "That's not going to happen. Ryan Howard is too productive and too important a player to just release. You just don't do that with a player like that. But, we don't have any designs on doing that." Howard is guaranteed $50 million for the next two years with a $10 million buyout after 2016, so the Phillies would have to eat all of that if they were to release him. The 2006 National League MVP led the league with 190 strikeouts last year while hitting .223/.310/.380 in 153 games.
  11. What a block by Mo. LOL
  12. Beane has lost his marbles or he's on to something completely new
  13. He could have a good year or be another Josh Johnson for them, but at least he's relatively cheap
  14. That's what I meant. along the right field line. Horrible horrible seats but dad was a cheap ass for getting tickets. LOL
  15. We know dude. We know. LOL
  16. All I remember (I was very young) was sitting in the right field bleachers, staring in to the sun, and could barely see. And seagulls. And Lloyd Moseby.
  17. Agree, and that's a great example. Farrell always sounded so smart in interviews, always polished and saying the "right" things. But he's not a good manager. Gibby is tons better IMHO even though he looks/sounds like a hick.
  18. Agree. Bautista gets it. The game situations. What he needs to do and what his teammates need to do/can do. Could make a good bench coach/assistant manager some day.
  19. Well, nuts
  20. At least no one has (yet) bumped the dreaded thread
  21. Very disingenuous indeed
