  1. Yeah I think it's awesome
  2. Possibly Is he fast? (honest question I don't know)
  3. Travis 5 for 7 past 2 games Sounds like Longoria helped him out on the base hit though
  4. Donaldson 1 foot foul of a 2 run double
  5. Pompey 7 for 23 with "good looking at bats" according to Siddall
  6. Pompey rips a base hit
  7. Nationals starter Max Scherzer says that there really was a mystery team (other than his former club, the Tigers) that pursued him over the winter, as James Schmehl of MLive.com reports (Twitter links). Scherzer added that he was surprised that Detroit went public regarding the significant extension offer he signed last spring.
  8. Back on topic or will close the thread Scientific Reason is on watch
  9. Exactly He's down to his last 1-2 chances now to stick in the big leagues
  10. Well guys like this live year to year always at risk of becoming a career minor leaguer His previous prospect status has kept teams interested. He was a top 20 prospect at one time wasn't he?
  11. Very good news I don't mind Pillar on the team but I don't want him playing 150 games
  12. They really had no other option with Ricky
  13. No doubt. Same with Donaldson. The AL West is bad that way. Playing a BUNCH of more games at Rogers Centre and Fenway and a lot fewer at Safeco and O.co will help anyone's HR numbers as long as they hit enough fly balls and line drives.
  14. Well that's just it - Stanton has a track record that would allow him to suck for all of ST and no one will worry/care in the least. Smoak doesn't have the luxury of being able to have a horrendous batting month in ST and still be guaranteed the starting job at first base.
  15. I think it was just a joke Stanton is hitting .167/.231/.250 in spring training so far, but obviously nobody cares.
  16. I don't want a 1B who can't hit Everyone knows he underperformed offensively in Seattle (that seems to be a thing there...) but was there anything encouraging in his peripherals during his years there??
  17. Good to see he's doing some baseball activities already. That's impressive...
  18. Hutchison got the start Starting lineup: 1. Jose Reyes (S) SS 2. Ramon Santiago (S) 2B 3. Jose Bautista ® RF 4. Justin Smoak (S) 1B 5. Kevin Pillar ® CF 6. Chris Dickerson (L) DH 7. Dwight Smith Jr. (L) LF 8. Josh Thole (L) C 9. Munenori Kawasaki (L) 3B
  19. What a GREAT spring training so far...
  20. LOL yes I can see how Saunders hurt his knee running though there
