  1. Seems like often the best coaches are the ones who struggled to find success themselves and had to try everything. That and you have to be patient and observant. Somehow I don't see Bonds being either of those things.
  2. Travis is expected back mid March I believe. Probably not ready for opening day.
  3. He would have to take fewer years obviously
  4. Will Barry Bonds make a good hitting coach?
  5. Yeah, it's probably a lot less since they always bat 9th instead of top 5 like most DH's, getting a lot fewer PA's because of that alone, and of course they get pinch hit for so much later in games
  6. f*** Price is gonna get paid...
  7. Good point, especially under Shapiro?
  8. Yeah, he seems completely fine with the assistant position for whatever reason
  9. Different players, ages, etc, but there was zero chance they were going to go 10 years with Pujols, and he was their face of the franchise player
  10. This exactly, IYAM Happ has been decent back of the rotation starter with no injury concerns I like the signing just fine (on it's own merit), even though I don't love the overall rotation by any stretch. Also, I think this is probably it for the rotation. However, with this offense and IF defense the team should be in good shape as long as the bullpen is addressed (and I trust that it will be)
  11. Ah. I haven't been able to listen to it yet. Thanks.
  12. Jeff Blair thinks Jays are in the lead for Price's services MASSIVE grain of salt taken http://www.sportsnet.ca/590/jeff-blair-show/toronto-blue-jays-in-the-lead-for-david-prices-services/
  13. Typo by me. That's what I meant and those are the rosters I looked at
  14. Mine is clearly the best though. JS.
  15. It was in spring training My guess it was someone who never made the major league team that year
  16. I looked at every roster player and coach from 91 and 92 Nothing that looks likely Tough one...
  17. Alex Reyes is such a risky but high reward guy FAP worthy stuff
  18. Callis on top 20 players in the AFL this year: http://m.mlb.com/news/article/158015830?partnerId=ed-9887097-852027623
  19. It really was and everyone on here knew it
  20. Wow I'm glad I didn't listen to this
  21. Agree but Zimmerman, Cueto and Shark seem like more realistic targets. I don't think this team will want to tie up the $$ and years required for Price or Grienke and that's probably smart anyway
  22. I like this deal as long as we're still adding a 1-2 caliber starter via free agency
  23. Exactly. There was literally no one else you could make any case for whatsoever, especially since Goldy played on a s***** team. f***, Arietta maybe bit its too huge of a strech to give it to a pitcher when you have a position player who had a season like Harper's.
  24. Do front offices even worry that much about high end starters coming off TJS these days?? How much does it affect his trade value? Almost all of them come back just fine these days.
