  1. Yeah, and there are only 2 players in the discussion of course. Delgado was here for 11 years altogether (though 2 with limited MLB playing time). Bautista is still 12 WAR short. I really do hope he stays for at least 3 more years.
  2. How much surplus value did Bautista give the Jays over that 5 year span? Edit: 26.2 WAR over those 5 years = ............. Ummmm, a LOT no matter whose $ per WAR you use
  3. ^ Was just about to post this Best contract extension EVER
  4. Point well taken guys There's been so little talk about, no need to lock up any threads
  5. By JP Morosi @jonmorosi Feb 15, 2016 at 4:56p ET Edwin Encarnacion, who is eligible for free agency after the upcoming season, has set an Opening Day deadline to sign a contract extension with the Toronto Blue Jays. That’s less than seven weeks away. Encarnacion’s agent, Paul Kinzer, told FOX Sports on Monday that the Blue Jays have not made the designated hitter a multiyear contract offer this offseason. Kinzer said formal contract negotiations have yet to begin with the team’s new baseball operations leaders, Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins. “It’s not like we’re upset with anyone,” Kinzer said in a telephone interview. “There’s plenty of time to work out a deal if they want to. “Edwin loves it there. He’s talked about how, if he has another couple good seasons, he might have his number on the wall. But they [shapiro and Atkins] are new, so they’re still getting to know everyone.”
  6. Fausto Carmona sounds like he should be a character on Narcos
  7. That, and having 2 C/Kris Davis's was pretty devastating
  8. Yep Send $
  9. Not terrible to have Jenkins in AAA, actually glad we didn't lose him
  10. MLBTR: Right-hander Chad Jenkins, whom the Blue Jays designated for assignment upon signing Gavin Floyd to a one-year deal, has been outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo, according to the Jays’ transactions page at MLB.com.
  11. Sweet. Then he should accept a 3 year 65M contract since he gets food and drink for free now. LOL. He won't get that in LA or Detroit.

  13. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/02/whipping-cream-vs-heavy-c_n_6247804.html Minor differences I guess
  14. Far east Unless you consider whipping cream to = heavy cream, cause that is everywhere. Cooks says it's not the same.
  15. I can never find heavy cream in Canadian stores...
  16. You should ask Steven Brooks on Twitter. He seems good at answering fan questions. Edit: I just asked him
  17. I'm thinking maybe the turf would be too "loose" and prone to wrinkling if you did this? There must be a reason it's installed on concrete.
  18. The best part about renaming this to The Leadoff is that Wilner can no longer unfunnily call it the "State of the french fries"
  19. Steinbrenner field only holds 11,026 max. Less than I thought This angle shows you better how small the seating capacity actually is: http://www.steinbrennerfield.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/1369x387xSFpano.jpg
  20. Jays averaged 9,744 per game last year
