  1. No. Gibby no longer answers questions about his plans for Sanchez. The concern was all in the pre season and didn't seem to include Stroman at all
  2. He's right up there with Tulo and Pillar And no, he's a solid piece of this team for years to comee. Don't trade.
  3. Agree 100%. I wouldn't want to trade either unless we were getting a good starter with multiple years of control. Nothing but prospects for a rental
  4. Confession: I thought Hill had several years of control Also didn't know he is 36. For a rental obviously no
  5. Or one of those plus a younger cost controlled MLB player. Pillar, Travis, etc. Edit: silly post by me. Only a controllable younger starter would require that.
  6. I think they should let Sanchez keep starting, at least for now. He's been phenomenal, and is showing no signs of wear Maybe delay his starts here and there to reduce the innings? Soft 6 man rotation for a while? Stroman and Dickey are clearly the weakest links in the rotation. The thougt of Hill or Gray replacing Sanchez and still sending Stroman and Dickey out every 5 days here on out doesn't sit right.
  7. They are still actively in trade talks If successful: What SHOULD they do with the rotation and BP And what WILL they probably do
  8. Poll: 1. Gibby owns no suits 2. Gibby owns one old suit that hasn't fit him in 20 years 3. Gibby owns multiple nice suits but hardly ever wears them
  9. If they add a starter this weekend, what happens? Sanchez to the BP right away? Stroman to the BP? Dickey becomes 6th starter and gets skipped? I don't think option 1 is necessarily the best one, though to FO might disagree
  10. Serious post: Teammates like Bautista He has insane OBP skills and still has power Used effectively (this is on Gibbons) he's very useful this season. And (for now) he's as much the face of the franchise as anyone. That actually DOES mean something.
  11. Exactly You just add and subtract projected WAR in order to win 89 games, under budget. People don't matter.
  12. Good question Sanchez Osuna Donaldson Tulo Edwin Are all probably better (though it's hard to compare a RP to an everyday player) Still don't trade him unless it's for something of immediate help elsewhere for the big league club and I just don't see that happening.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if 10 teams have inquired about Bautista And Stroman And Cecil Etc... This is meaningless
  14. Off season trades and second half of season playoff race trades are not the same thing
  15. OMG Josh Donaldson is a shiny golden god
  16. Same Felt like they should have won it in the 9th and again I the 11th. When they didn't and they got down 2 I gave them little to no chance. We'll take it
  17. AA tried for years, supposedly (to get J Upton)
  18. House looks packed. On a Tuesday. Vs the Padres.
  19. Great trade Costs very little for a guy who can help a bit this yer and possibly a lot next year
  20. I presume he is still a good pinch runner option and late defensive replacement?
  21. And how did someone else not outbid that??
  22. Damn That's a nice price for a season and half of him
