  4. Yes +1 Good job Gibby That's the best possible lineup with what he's got available, given a healthy (fingers crossed) Travis
  5. Upton easily
  6. Excellent points Running back or tight end more likely than quarterback, you're right
  7. Probably could have been a star QB in the CFL, Doug Flutie style
  8. Estrada in the booth Honored to start opening day but seems to sincerely believe that all 5 are equal and it could have been anyone He says nine of them feel like they're number ones nor does anyone feel like they're a number 5
  9. "We’ve seen some flashes of the guy we felt like we were getting when we traded for him: The crispness of the fastball, the ability to keep it out of the middle of the plate, the sharpness of the breaking ball and a very effective changeup,” Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said. “Unfortunately we’ve also seen way too much of the fastball catching too much of the plate and the other pitches not being as sharp.”
  10. Long drive today Finally time to listen to a game
  11. Hutchison didn't make the Pirates rotation Optioned to minors http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/pirates/2017/03/29/Drew-Hutchison-sent-down-eliminated-from-Pirates-rotation-competition/stories/201703290177?pgpageversion=pgevoke
  12. Looks like the probable opening day lineup:
  13. Kawasaki released by Cubs
  14. Nice Glad he accepted the assignment instead of opting to be cut loose Pleasant surprise actually
  15. He might be the best 5th starter in the American League
  16. He still has a year at league min then his 3 arb years But overall yeah likely still a very good deal for them
  17. Pearce is apparently playing LF today
  18. Not the worst idea He's not fast but .364 career OBP
  19. Will want to listen to this later, hopefully gets posted to Sportsnet soon
  20. Stroman/Sanchez/Osuna all came to the majors young. Any detrimental effects? Did they seem ready or not? (personally I think no and yes) Will Reid-Foley and Greene be handled differently? I would hope just on a case by case basis based on ability and readiness - not based on the needs of the major league club or any strict "policy"
