    Yes, when Tulo (and also Martin) are hitting well it's so satisfying. They're good hitters who have had some very bad stretches for the Jays so you kind of stop counting on them at times. Hated that feeling that if EE/JB/JD weren't hitting that no one else would score any runs

    Absolutely And he's always rock steady on defense IIRC Phillips also said Tulo has the highest fielding percentage for a shortstop in the history of baseball. I know fielding % is meh but still... It's just nice having IF defenders so reliable that when balls are hit to them you feel good cause you know they're almost certainly going to make the routine outs and not stress you out or make the 1B have to make heroic picks

    MLB netowk Steve Phillips on the radio this morning raving about Troy Tulowitzki Says Tulo has spent a lot of time working with Devon Travis on hitting and there seemed to be some immediate improvements during batting practice with better contact Says Tulo seems very comfortable with the team now and has been an obvious leader
