    Stroman/Sanchez/Osuna all came to the majors young. Any detrimental effects? Did they seem ready or not? (personally I think no and yes) Will Reid-Foley and Greene be handled differently? I would hope just on a case by case basis based on ability and readiness - not based on the needs of the major league club or any strict "policy"

    In any case I'm fine with this extension. Hopefully it's at least 3 years for stability. I had pipe dreams of them getting Francona in here but clearly that wasn't going to happen Gibby is perfectly acceptable - we could do much worse

    In this tenure Gibby seems very level headed but is still willing to get in guys' faces when he *has to* if they're acting unacceptably (Pillar and Lawrie hissy fits come to mind). Seems like after it's over they get over it quickly and back to business. I think that's just how a manager should be... play hard and do your part and all will be good, but you'll be called out if you act like an idiot or undermine him.
