  1. What do we want for GDT's? One per series? One per day? Personally I vote for a series thread for every series
  2. Right you are Sucks for those guys
  3. If they do, he should accept it in a heartbeat
  4. Jose Altuve is a f'n beast Is he the second best player in baseball after Trout? And is it actually close/debateable now?? He has maybe the most team-friendly contract in all of baseball 2014 (age 24) $1,500,000 - 5.1 WAR 2015 (age 25) $2,500,000 - 4.6 WAR 2016 (age 26) $3,500,000 - 6.8 WAR 2017 (age 27) $4,500,000 - 7.5 WAR 2018 (age 28) $6,000,000 2019 (age 29) $6,500,000 He's gotten better every year since 2015... don't even know what his ceiling is now. If you're the Astros do you do a mutually beneficial solid and beef up those last 2 contract years in exchange for buying out 2-3 more years starting in 2020? It seems like something you could pull off and have both sides be happy
  5. Quadruple header today starts at 2 PM Eastern - BOS @ HOU is up first ...Still remember Jays getting shafted with 12:00 ish time starts in the 2015 ALDS
  6. Yankees and Red Sox are both f***ed Both down 1-0 in a 5 game series and have to face Keuchel and Kluber with mid rotation starters in game 2
  7. Depends who they're replacing too Bautista was below replacement level so even a 2-3 war season is a bigger upgrade from 2016 in RF than you'd first think if you were replacing a 1 WAR player
  8. I hope the front office strikes early again this year too I like that Land an impact player you want right away while the big spenders play cat and mouse for months with the small number of big fish Alex Cob would be an ideal target for this approach. I bet he doesn't want to wait and wait and wait until the market sees Darvish and Tanaka landed before anyone will get serious in talks with him. This seems to happen to some guys like him every year.
  9. Having Sanchez back and finding an above average corner OF in Hernadez would be huge
  10. No way do I trust that Smoak can do that again (although I HOPE he can) and Morales is now probably just a very slow, league average hitter We need a solid addition to the lineup
  11. Realistically I think they should absolutely target and be willing to spend big on one of either Otani or Martinez I'd pass on Tanaka and Darvish on the $$$ and years that they're likely to get
  12. I can't quite find the right knowing sarcastic smirk GIF online to respond to this
  13. There's enough money available to spend Hopefully they can lure a solid OF bat and SP2 caliber starter or trade for one and sign the other
  14. How much will Pillar and Stroman likely get in arbitration?
  15. Too early for such fapworthy baseball porn man Lmao Damn he has STUFF
  16. He and Betances both likely blow a big moment at some point
  17. Is Randy Johnson involved with the club I'm some way?
  18. Thanks for reporting the spam guys I delete it every morning
  19. Yes And knew they'd have less to spend the year after
  20. AL power rankings 1. Cleveland 2. Houston 3. Boston 4. NYY The Twins didn't seem any more talented than a handful of teams that failed to hang in, including the Jays, Mariners and Rays The NL is a tougher call
  21. He saved the game for them for sure. 3.1 IP, 1BB, 5K, 0 runs Girardi didn't even have to use Bettances What a bullpen
  22. Exciting game and the better team won I like it
  23. Wow Just tuned in Severino bounced already???
