  1. Agree on all counts I'd be fine with 5 years @27.5 but paying Tulo and Martin 20 at the same time is tough. Martin is probably still worth it, Tulo clearly is not Machado will get similar money but way more years than Donaldson, and only a few teams both need a 3B and can afford these contracts. So that might help in negotiating with Donaldson's agent. (I suppose a team might sign Machado with intent to use him at SS but most of the big $ teams are set at that position too)
  2. Good job Rowley Bought himself at least a few more starts I'm sure
  3. Watching Frazer I thought "why is even trying to throw to 1B" Then I saw how close Molasses (sorry, I mean Morales) made the play at first Oh well, it worked out fine LMAO
  4. So many easy outs in our lineup these days Omg
  5. Mandatory thread Hope he gets a few more starts to see what he can do

Some come into the league as thugs already Some can't handle all the fame/women/money that comes so fast and so early when they're so young

  11. Cool Something to look forward to Can't wait to see him
  12. Agreed 5 years @ 25-30M is about the most I can see them wanting to go for Josh might like the secutity of that this off season or he might roll the dice and try to get more years fia free agency
  13. You do it this off season or it won't happen
  14. I think this is exactly it
  15. I will say, this is one area I like the Jays financial flexibility We've spent a bit more in salaries on trades but have helped stock the farm system while doing so
  16. Found this if true. Mets R Poor
  17. I wonder of Cleveland got some salary relief Traded for last years *30th* round draft pick
  18. TSN today: 4. 2B/SS Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Affiliate: Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats Age: 23 (10/19/1993) Midseason top 100 prospect rankings: Baseball America (90) Projected MLB ETA: 2018 Season stats: .197/.217/.258 with 1 HR, 8 RBI, 1 SB in 66 AB at High-A; .286/.321/.416 with 1 HR, 12 RBI, 1 SB in 77 AB at Double-A Two games at shortstop, two at second base and one as the designated hitter. That’s how Gurriel Jr. split his week as the Blue Jays continue to emphasize versatility with the prized Cuban signing. It didn’t seem to bother the right-handed hitter in the box as he’s got five hits in his last three games heading into play Wednesday night. At some point, Gurriel may see time in the outfield, too.
  19. Most of the nicknames feel like "I'll just put what Gibby calls me"
  20. Steve Pearce - the only Blue Jay to go NOT go with a nickname I like that somehow
