    I was thinking the same thing. I play golf too and it's all about the hip turn and solid contact.

    That was my impression too Injury history made most teams (including the Dodgers of course) want to go no more than 3 years

    Yeah it's all deception. Like you said he doesn't blow people away with velocity. He does have nasty breaking stuff but essentially he sneaks balls past hitters while they seem to frequently have no idea what's coming or where it's going to be. As I said in a GDT it must be very uncomfortable facing him. He is certainly underrated by many fans but I'd guess many batters would tell you he's one of the toughest they face.

    Yeah. It's lots of arms plus a very rapid and aggressive hip and torso rotation with very little leg motion.

    I would have put Ray and Matz on equal footing headed into the season , maybe even with a slight edge to Ray. But Matz has obviously been wayyyy better so far.
