    It's hard not be biased by past success Jays of course won the WS in 1992 after trading Kent for Cone and in 1993 after trading Karsay for Henderson as we all know BUT I'll always wonder if they'd have won it either or both years without those trades What would have happened if they'd had Kent around for 5 all star seasons and Karsay in the starting rotation? Also do the Jays make the ALCS without David Price? Smetimes it works and out and sometimes it doesn't Do I want to trade Gurriel and a top 10 prospect for a legit frontline starter but no guarantee of even making the post season or advancing beyond the first round? Prob not /end silly rant It's impossible to know.

    Atkins is HIGHLY unlikely to trade any of those key prospects for a rental. In fact I'd says almost no chance (He's not AA 1.0) He likely won't trade any of them all, and if he does it will be for a player with at LEAST 1.5 years control, and probably more, that you'll be happy he got

    You're right. Grichuk and Tellez have been VERY polarizing on this board.

    Part of the problem has been that Matz and Stripling have both had stretches where they looked good enough to stick but then they keep relapsing into crap that you want out of the rotation Despite this the overall SP performance has been pretty good on average but only Ryu and Ray have been persistently good and they're the only two you'd feel good about using in a playoff series

    Yes I haven't given up on him or anything, not even close It's just so frustrating because we REALLY could have used him this year to be better than Matz and Stripling
