    It just kind of worked out really. Bo got hurt. Gimenez had to move to short and played so well you want to keep him here. Bo can see that as well as anyone can from down in the 3B dugout. If he's a team player at all he realizes the best thing right now has him as DH or 2B if his leg allows him to play defense.

    It's a dream if they can pull it off 1. Springer - DH 2. Lukes - LF 3, Vlad - 1B 4. Bo - 2B 5. Kirk - C 6. Varsho - CF 7. Barger - RF 8. Clement - 3B 9. Gimenez - SS Against a lefty I probably move Clement up in the order and put Schneider in LF and maybe Straw in right. Lukes comes in later in the game against a rightly or for defense. Same with Straw for Barger vs a lefty reliever.

    Yeah, prices are nuts. I *was* thinking about going to a game in LA. Always wanted to go to a game there anyway. And now my team is there for the World Series. And flights from Calgary are reasonable. But the ticket prices for even terrible seats are nuts, and I blew a pretty good load of money and personal cred with my wife by taking her to Toronto to watch them lose twice last week. Probably have to pass... :(

    For the sake of curiosity only, two of his five home runs that WS were hit in Houston; three were hit in Los Angeles. Do we know if they were accomplishing cheating by stealing signals during road games or not? Springer is just a good hitter. So are Altuve and Bregman. As much as I hate how they did it, the cheating can only help so much.

    Tough call on how to use him best when both he and Springer have lower limb injuries now. But damn you need them both in the lineup somehow.

    I've debated this many times There's something special about game 1 and it's guaranteed so I've always gone to the first 2.

    The way the season ended I just can't honestly say I expected anything like this from Vladdy. But he has been an absolute monster when he was needed the most. Those few days off from clinching the division probably helped.

    I would like to take a moment to appreciate how absolutely nails Jeff Hoffman was in the these last 2 games. That won't get enough attention. 2 must win games on back to back days, 3 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts and 0 hits. F'n amazing
