    Cardinals are done with Goldschmidt and are planning to trade away all veteran players. Anyone we'd want the Jays to target? Goldschmidt - 37 and probably much more "name" than production now? But damn it's still temping if he'd take a 1 year deal and he may have to... Arenado - Love him but that contract uggggg 9 yr, $275M (2019-27) AAV: $30.56M Wilson Contreras - Part time cather/DH? Sonny Gray - we'd prob get outbid by others who need SP more Ryan Helsley - Free agent actually. Good numbers, but will he demand too many years? Andrew Kittredge - ditto, and he's older than Helsley They had a pretty good bullpen this year, I can see us going there

    The truly Wild three-team battle for the final postseason berths in the National League is not over, and the Mets and Braves will play a doubleheader on Monday in Atlanta to determine which teams advance to the playoffs. First pitch for Game 1 is set for 1:10 p.m. ET. The Braves announced they will start Spencer Schwellenbach in Game 1. Chris Sale would start Game 2, if Braves lose first game. The Mets have not announced their starting-pitching plans yet.

    Meh. Cleveland was into their *4TH* pitcher of the game. Who GAF. It's not like he's trying to rob one guy of an historical moment. To me a "combined" perfect game with 7 pitchers used means about one millionth what a single pitcher's perfect game means

    We need the FO to get this year's pick right. Hopefully they don't get to pick this high again any time soon, so want to make the most of it...

    Although he was talked about forever he didn't REALLY "show up" until age 25.

    If we finish 5th worst there's a 10% chance of picking first overall, a 30.9% chance of getting a top 3 pick, and almost no chance of picking worse than 9th. Not bad! (even the worst team only has a 16.5% chance of picking 1st overall)

    I re-read read some of the new draft rules. If you are in the world series you can't pick any better than 29 or 30 no matter what your regular season record was. IDK...
