Possibly not Brodeur will finally be retired Luongo just crumples in big games Subban nuh uh Fleury may be the best bet unless a new young hotshot emerges Could be bad!
  2. Coincidence. I never go to Bleacher Report. It's just sort of an obvious question I guess.
  3. Knee??? Cause of how he fell???
  4. Yeah but Melvin >> Gibby in terms of platoon management
  5. Holy bad taste but a good point. This forum rocks.
  6. @JonHeymanCBS: Roy Halladay will be addressing the media about his as-yet undisclosed shoulder issue before this aft's game in SF. #phils
  7. I don't want to get too hopeful, but he/Jays may have dodged a bullet here.
  8. Excellent Per Shi Davidi BTW
  9. I've also asked these guys for an opinion. Hopefully they answer the tweet @keithlaw @Ken_Rosenthal Curious re. your opinion: Most likely to bounce back and make playoffs - Dodgers, Angels, or Blue Jays???
  10. All three teams had very high expectations going in to the season. All three have atrocious W-L records so far as we all know. Jays 13-21 Angels 11-21 Dodgers 13-19 Only Houston and Miami are worse. It's incredible really. So who turns it around and who doesn't. And why?
  11. Better yet, I think he's been running off on everybody too. Fewer guys swinging for the fences on the first few pitches and more patience/selectivity overall. Good things can come of that.
  12. He is literally the only Blue Jays player who even remotely deserves to be there as of right now. That makes the choice an easy one for Sparky unless someone else on this team (Bautista, EE, Dickey, Morrow, Melky) REALLY gets it going over the next month.
  13. Agree. And that's a lot of "ifs"
  14. @ShiDavidi: In statement released through hospital, Happ says: “I’m in good spirits, I definitely appreciate the support of the baseball community ...Happ continued: "...It’s been overwhelming the messages and kind words I’ve been getting. I just want to thank everyone for that "... and I look forward to getting back out there soon."
  15. You know what? He's probably really lucky he got hit right on the ear. It must have hurt like Hell and it bled a lot but that's WAY better than getting it on the forehead, temple or the back of the skull.
  16. @BlueJays: MEDICAL UPDATE: JA HAPP left last night’s game after hit on left side of head by a batted ball and was taken to hospital for testing. @BlueJays: He was responsive and doing well after suffering a head contusion and a laceration to his left ear. @ShiDavidi: #BlueJays say JA Happ "doing well" after suffering a head contusion and laceration to left ear. They anticipate hospital discharge today
  17. @TBTimes_Rays: #Jays Happ says he's in "good spirits," looking forward to "getting back out there soon." Could be released today http://t.co/QbPdjLjr7k
  18. Good news!!! @ShiDavidi: JA Happ in good condition this morning, may be released from hospital today. #BlueJays announcement expected shortly.
  19. Hasn't he already had a couple of "last" kicks at the can?
  20. For sure But as you say they are definitely better than almost everyone thought I don't think they are a last place team and I don't think the Jays are either I can't believe I'm saying this now but I can actually picture Tampa finishing last in the AL East. I never even thought that remotely possible as the season was starting. Their picthing is good but the offense and defense are both very sub par. They miss Upton and Shields and the replacements are not good. I think Boston and Baltimore might actually both be better than Tampa this year.
  21. @BMcCarthy32: Truly hope J.A Happ is OK and that his family, friends and everyone else in the Toronto organization is holding up through this tough time.
  22. I'd expect a real update with diagnosis by mid morning today
  23. I can't believe how happy I am that Escobar is gone. Even with Reyes out.
  24. Nothing I can find
