The whole problem with Rasmus is streakiness. Just when you think he's finally going to put up that .270 25 HR season he goes ice cold for weeks. He can't seem to sustain it.
@gregorMLB: Bautista finished May hitting .337 (35-for-104) with a .446 OBP and a .994 OPS. He ranked first in AL with 22 walks, third in OBP, 10th OPS
I like him too.
But, since he, Edwin and Lind are both really only usable at 1B and DH, he's pretty much relegated to AAA depth in case of injury, and less useful on the Jays bench.
Q. Who is more likely to continue hitting like this and win the MVP. Davis or Cabrera?
A. Cabrera
Cabrera will also finish with a LOT more RBI, due mostly to hitting 3rd rather than 5th. Sadly, that boosts MVP votes as well.
