  1. For the record, I'm not blaming JPR for signing that contract. At the time it made all the sense in the world. Any GM would have done the same.
  2. It wouldn't be so painful if we weren't now paying him 7.5M a year to pitch for the Bisons. If he were a cheap contract you'd let him go and see if he ever gets it together. But the $$$ are such a waste and might prevent you from signing or extending someone else. And it's all wasted if he never has a positive impact on the big league club again.
  3. Reyes is the bomb. Kawa-who???
  4. Bring on them Tigers Will Buerhle face them???
  5. Sometimes it's better to leave the train wreck on full display. As a disincentive for someone making more.
  6. Interesting tidbit Brett Lawrie and Jose Reyes have not played one game together yet.
  7. Rarely man. Rarely. If he really wanted to over-the-top impress? Get his ass back in the game with Toronto via the heavy ball program. Wow that would be something.
  8. After 10 measly awesome games What a tease
  9. I usually like your polls but this is crap.
  10. I'd take him as the 2014 version of Mark DeDosa.
  11. And he actuay really wants to play here. But... Too bad.
  12. Great sources: http://www.bluejayhunter.com/2010/11/best-blue-jays-moustaches-of-all-time.html?m=1 http://www.joesportsfanstl.com/brian-tallet-is-dangerously-close-to-a-hair-trifecta/ http://www.joesportsfanstl.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/tallet-trifecta2.jpg
  13. It also bothers me how he talks all the time about stuff he hears "from within the organization" but can't quite tell you what he THINKS he knows. It just sounds like BS sometimes.
  14. Ew I just looked up his 2013 stats though. Morneau has lost all his power. Still a passable OBP at .336 but only 3 HR and a .725 OPS despite full playing time. I'd have to pass. He's declining sharply in his early 30's.
  15. I did but never heard Morneau's name mentioned And I'd still rather see Bautista at 3B over Edwin, IF Lawrie goes to second. Problem is Gose is hitting all of .221 in Buffalo
  16. Yes typo. I meant Edwin @ 3B. And I don't endorse the idea. Too many 1B/DH guys with poor positional flexibility.
  17. We should all grow a stache to ease the pain
  18. My bold prediction: AA acquires Justin Morneau at the trade deadline Prior to this he has EE moved permanently to 3B and Lawrie to 2B
  19. My bold prediction: AA acquires Justin Morneau at the trade deadline Prior to this he has EE moved permanently to 3B and Lawrie to 2B
  20. Also curious if he'll be playing second or third base during this rehab stint. Jeff Blair continues to insist that "people within the organization" think he's going to moved to 2B sooner rather than later.
  21. It also just totally depends on how he looks and feels
