  1. But even though Amaro might still like Gose, his trade value has really fallen I'm sure
  2. Here's where Gose's 2013 mILB suckage really bites us in the ass: - Phillies Looking For A Center Fielder By Edward Creech [July 14 at 5:00pm CST] Phillies center fielder Ben Revere told reporters, including MLB.com's Todd Zolecki, he will miss six-to-eight weeks after breaking a bone in his right ankle in the first game of yesterday's doubleheader against the White Sox. Revere is scheduled to visit a foot specialist tomorrow. "The prognosis doesn't sound too good," Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. told reporters, including Bob Brookover of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We'll see how long it's going to be. I think it's something that's going to take a while. If that's the case, we'll probably be looking for a center fielder if one is available or will be an upgrade on what we have with John (Mayberry) out there."
  3. Cubs have apparently told Garza he's going to be traded Here we go...
  4. Classic Love it
  5. Theo is almost as active as AA on the "claim and DFA" circuit
  6. Cubs Designate Henry Rodriguez For Assignment by Edward Creech, Jul 14 at 3:51 PM CST The Cubs have designated right-hander Henry Rodriguez for assignment, tweets MLB.com's Carrie Muskat. The move clears a roster spot for outfielder Cole Gillespie, who was claimed on waivers from the Giants yesterday, tweets Bruce Miles of the Daily Herald. This is the second time in six weeks Rodriguez has been designated for assigment. The Cubs acquired the 26-year-old on June 11 after the Nationals removed him from their roster.
  7. Yeah this legitimizes the possibility of a deal more than anything else we've heard.
  8. David Wells was on Satellite radio the other day - ESPN. He thinks Paul Beeston will be commissioner of MLB some day.
  9. Relax guys Yes, AA has made some poor moves But he is NOT going to trade a major asset for half a season of Garza. Absolutely no way.
  10. It's ridiculous Bonifacio has to go NOW Arencibia has to go this off season Izturis can be kept Brett Lawrie has to get it going. My God.
  11. Stupid of me. I knew this. Stroman is one of my favorite guys on Twitter. I was excited when he was advanced to AA New Hampshire.
  12. Hmmm That means something Please not Stroman though... Though that actually seems likely.
  13. If he's not traded before the deadline I just don't understand anything anymore.
  14. To be fair - big park, weaker lineups when he was with the Marlins. That might account for a significant part of the difference. But also yeah he's just not been good.
  15. Yep. If we stay 8-10 games out of wildcard you might as well call him up. If he's good it builds his trade value, if he's bad it doesn't matter for this year and at least you know he's probably a lost cause.
  16. But Angels need pitching, I don't see them swapping outfielders Johnson makes too much sense not to trade. If you can get a major prospect like Cron who is more advanced than any comp pick player you get it makes more sense to me
  17. Then he could represent LA and everythang...
