  1. But why not get one someone cheaper and still move Anderson? Unless Orioles want him that badly. Even then I just can't see the A's relegating 10M to a closer. It goes against their entire belief system. Besides, Dombrowski will probably trade Scherzer for Jim Johnson at the rate he's going.
  2. Dammit AA while he's being dumn trade him Dela bar for whatever you want!
  3. What?? Since when does Billy Beane consider trading assets for a relief pitcher making 10M???
  4. Fielder and Fister gone in one week WOW
  5. I can't believe Dombrowski has done this.
  6. Also merged LOL
  7. I'm guessing they're doing this because they're on the verge of signing a free agent starter?
  8. Now people are saying 22M
  9. The Twitter gurus all figure this makes Colon a free agent and Anderson available via trade
  10. Hahaha. I have to admit the pun for the relief pitcher was not intentional.
  11. Red Sox to tender Andrew Bailey a contract He must be relieved
  12. Also, a trade going badly doesn't always mean it was the wrong thing to do at the time. And vice versa. There is *some* luck involved. But it's like everything else of course - the smart GM will get more trades right than wrong.
  13. Yeah you're right. Different make up. When Gose felt slighted he sulked and slumped. When Stroman gets dissed he probably steps up. I should not have said hissy fit. Should have just said he'd be mad.
  14. Stroman will have a Gose-style hissy fit if he doesn't make the team out of spring training, methinks
  15. #UnleashTheStroman
  16. Bold. Just like the Stroman himself.
  17. CNNSI: http://mlb.si.com/2013/11/27/hall-of-fame-voter-sells-ballot-to-deadspin-readers-to-determine-votes/ The identity of the BBWAA member who sold his or her ballot to Deadspin is being withheld for now, but Marchman says that this voter, “will announce his/her name and motivations once his/her vote has been officially cast.” The voter will still cast the ballot his or herself, but will do so according to the instructions of Deadspin, which will, in turn, determine how to vote by polling its readership. Neither Deadspin nor Marchman has given any indication as to how the vote will be cast. Indeed, the site seems open to any approach, be it an honest attempt to cast a merit-based ballot, or any of a variety of protest votes, such as a ballot containing only the names of players associated with performance enhancing-drugs, or one that writes in Pete Rose or the like. So, we will get to find out who it was.
  18. Hahaha, hope not Don't want AA stacking their farm system the way he did the Mets. We have the Mets their TWO best prospects.
  19. I predict some Blue Jays related news by Monday at the latest. Possibly Sunday. Wow we need some
  20. I voted for Sanchez I think Stroman is our most major league ready prospect and I welcome him to the rotation with open arms if he has a good spring training, but Sanchez will probably have a better overall career
  21. Ftfy
  22. Is playing for the Yankees a big deal to someone from RD or no??
