  1. Love all of those
  2. Yeah I think this is the way to play it. Only reason to do otherwise is if he is head and shoulders better than everyone outside of Dickey and Buerhle. (Not intended as a height joke)
  3. He hasn't even thrown one inning in AAA (Agree with everything you said though)
  4. Are there any overseas games this year to pre-start the regular season??
  5. Well said man. Well said. Look, I share the pessimism of the majority of the board about the Jays right now. But come opening day I'll be watching every pitch with a big smile on my face.
  6. Yeah he doesn't seem like a guy who would tone it down just because he's in AAA
  7. Hahaha. More power to you. Twitter insta news addiction is an illness.
  8. Do you really want to see Dustin Pedroia intentionally dropping routine pop ups in order to double up two guys at one base?? That's the purpose of the rule.
  9. On a positive note, for this reason I no longer feel compelled to check Twitter for Jays transaction news 1000 times a day. You?
  10. RA Dickey and Esmil Rogers (according to Wilner)
  11. If only you could separate him into Chase Utley and Travis D'Arnaud. Then we could claim both.
  12. @mlbtraderumors: Pirates Designate Chase d'Arnaud For Assignment http://t.co/exCWWH1Tah #mlb
  13. Excellent points. It's not that simple is it?
  14. Yeah I almost typed "Yankees contract" after his name, was maybe not so clear
  15. Unless it's to Goins or Happ
  16. Every little Blue Jays "minor injury" report sends shockwaves of terror through my spine
  17. I REALLY don't want to click on this. How bad is it?
  18. Sure and good point. But still "overall contract" will look ugly no matter who's paying.
  19. Not only do they benefit from the draft picks but they also benefit more from the revenue sharing than anyone relative to payroll. Last year they were apparently the most profitable team in the history of baseball. (WSJ article discussed it if you haven't seen) I have to admit that seems a bit wrong somehow but it's a free market and they're just playing by the rules.
  20. Informal poll: A decade from now, which will be seen as the worst long term contract in the history of modern baseball: Alex Rodriguez Albert Pujols Prince Fielder Robinson Cano Zack Grienke
  21. It's easy to forget it now, but he really was THAT good for a pretty long time.
  22. I like the soft salary cap system. Seems just about right. I like the arbitration system. Personally I'd like a slightly shorter season but that will never happen I like the PED rules I like the wildcard structure I think the free agency draft pick compensation rules to change I like the sounds ofbrhw new replay system though the limits on challenges might be too much I like MLB pretty much the way it is
  23. LOL no you're not. And it's a real word so spell check will pass it. Just means a different thing.
  24. Good questions Correction: parity not parody
  25. Stroman has never thrown a pitch against a major leaguer. we THINK we know what he can do but...
