  1. This BP write up makes me happy actually: 13. Toronto Blue Jays Farm System Ranking in 2013: 13 2014 Top Ten Prospects: Link State of the System: Despite a recent penchant for using prospects as currency to acquire major-league talent, the Jays system remains thick with high-ceiling players on both sides of the ball. Top Prospect: Marcus Stroman (27) Breakout Candidates for 2014: Miguel Castro and Mitch Nay Prospects on the BP 101: 3 Must-See Affiliate: Low-A Lansing Prospects to See There: Alberto Tirado, DJ Davis, Chase DeJong, Jairo Labourt, Mitch Nay, Matt Dean, Rowdy Telez Farm System Trajectory for 2015: Up. The Jays have some of the best young prospect depth in baseball, and as the short-season talent start to develop at the full-season level, the system as a whole should jump into the top 10, where they are likely to stay for a very long time.
  2. True BP ranks Jays 13, Rays 26

  4. Today's comments from AA and Beeston actually regained me a little bit of respect for the FO Though yeah, I always saw us becoming "the Rays with money" and we never got anywhere near to that ideal But they DID throw a talented (if incomplete) group together and they're fun to watch. I'm really enjoying this season.
  5. Jonn, just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... - - - - - - - - - - - - - and totally redeem yourself!
  6. After all these pinch hits and defensive subsitutions the Rays on the field now look like the saddest group of also-rans in the majors
  7. But I paid $130 for MLB At Bat. And the Android version is great on my Galaxy S4.
  8. Yeah I'm hating this too Looks horrendous and the interface is worse
  9. Weak ground out I think you're right
  10. Phillies losing badly again to the Mets
  11. Boston has reduced deficit to 3-2
  12. Among qualified players with enough innings played: Bautista UZR/150 10th out of 21 among all right fielders (38 of 69 for all OF) Cabrera UZR/150 13th out of 18 among all left fielders (59 of 69 for all OF) So for Cabrera yes he's a bottom third defender by UZR. Bautista is actually average.
  13. Stephen Drew started for Sox today 0-2 with a walk so far
  14. Beeston: Broke the trust last year. Wants to show fans Willing to add payroll and expects attendance to go up if they're winning Attendance suffering due to inconvenience/Gardiner construction - no excuse, not much they can do. There was a sellout one day the gardner was a disataer and there were to fundraiser walks going on. "Give people a reason to come down". Buerhle - not surprised about his leadership, pleasantly surprised about his hot start to the season. (knew his W-L record and ERA off hand) Had the same feeling this spring training as he did in 1992 spring training. The "resolve" and talent feels equivalent. Edwin is ridiculously hot Video replay - he is on related committees. There will be tweaks. Will be done this off season. Keeping opinions to himself. Managers fighting with umpires was a "fun part of the game" that he seems to miss Melky and Colby - likely to wait until the end of the tear. Doesn't know what direction they'll go. Grass - blah blah blah
  15. Yankees have tied it up 2-2 Other leads holding (so far)
  16. LOL OK Sigh... Edit: Twisted Logic seems to be on it
  17. Not sure I can bear to listen to 18 minutes of the Beest Anyone else willing to do so and report back??
  18. Listened to AA first Loving Melky, Buerhle and Dickey improved performance this year - main reason they're better Hopes Stroman sticks in the rotation this year - threw out Sonny Gray comp Says they have the resources to re-sign Cabrera and Rasmus if they want to - prefers off season and more information but we shouldn't ne shocked if something got done sooner Gose looks good, sounded like he's not guaranteed to stay though Hendriks kept in AAA as a starter in case yhey need him again "as soon as 10 days from now" Hutch "not happy" abut being pushed back but they didn't like how he looked last time out and they though more rest would help him. Not on any innings limit but don't want to regret having overused him at end of season.
  19. Beeston: http://pmd.fan590.com/audio_on_demand-3/Paul-Beeston-with-Jeff-Blair-and-Kevin-Barker-bc-20140602-Interview.mp3 AA: http://pmd.fan590.com/audio_on_demand-3/Alex-Anthopoulos-with-Jeff-Blair-and-Stephen-Brunt-JB-SB-20140602-Interview.mp3
  20. AA on Prime Time Sports today discussing Stroman June is a big month for him (and the team) Hopes he sticks in the starting rotation this year Likes the way his first big league experience was from BP because second time up things are less intimidating Hopes he can have a "Sonny Gray effect" on the team
  21. We also have a better lineup than KC but Seitzer may well be helping things. Can't believe the mess with the Royals in the meantime. this was the "it" club 1-2 years ago that was poised to make a big move.
  22. TANK NATION BABY!! lottery pick filler
  23. Who said that?!?!?! http://backinblue.kc-media.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/aa2.jpg
