  1. Their high performance director who built the Mental Conditioning team left in May 2022 and they never replaced him. Mental conditioning is not enough of this teams focus in my opinion
  2. Does anyone remember that Must win game against the Yankees way back on Sept 27 where Berrios was lights out thru 3 (no hit, 5 K's) walked the first guy in the 4th and then got out of it completely unscathed? Me neither
  3. This shows why I think the coaching staff needs to go. The Rays had one pitcher who refused to learn the analytical decisions they were making. They got rid of him and moved someone from the front office down to the bench. The players need to be educated on these decisions and that is on the coaching staff
  4. That is an argument I can get behind. I also like the idea of Kikuchi starting and keeping their left handed bats out of the starting line up. Then go righty followed by Mayza completely neutralizing the LHH
  5. Which arms would the Twins have available? I hated the fact that Bassitt might have to pitch a deciding game against the Twins. But to think the Jays would be at a huge pitching disadvantage because of this decision is an odd one
  6. And how many Ks does he get facing a LHH a second time? Again your theory is that Berrios comes out of that inning clean. He just walked one guy. So if he doesn't come out clean the Twins have all the matchups in their favour. The game plan was to hold the Twins to not a lot of runs...and beat their pen with our hitters. We know what part of the game plan failed
  7. And how many times has a pitcher been rolling, until they are not. It did work. The Jays got the players out they wanted out. They didn't give up another run. They put in a pitcher that got ground balls. You want to talk about bad game plans. Bringing Griffin Jax to face the same guys he faced yesterday. I don't care about results. That is a terrible decision. Kikuchi doing his job but the balls getting hits...that is baseball
  8. Word directly from people in the know is zero player personnel decisions. Budget approval only
  9. This is my question to anyone who says this about firing Atkins? For what direction? A more old school approach (sorry Aj Preller is back with San Diego). The offensive approach is flawed, if that is on Atkins, then fire him or bring someone else in to take over that approach and work along side him
  10. First take is: whoever reported someone for saying **** should leave this board right now. Jays fans deserve to be angry. Secondly isn't going to be popular considering what my personal friends have said to me about it. The pitching gameplan worked. Baldelli responded with the exact moves the Jays wanted and Kikuchi got ground balls. If Berrios gives up one run, the Jays are down and the Twins have all the match-ups in their favour. Third I don't know what the answer is moving forward. I don't know who you can trade and get value to change the offense of this team. As for the coaches and GM. If they get rid of them, the team will survive
  11. You would think the guy named after a boyband would love Justins
  12. We are an 89 win team that has privided disappointing results, what is a successful playoffs for you? I have never been a it is win the whole thing or tear it up type. My expectations are set at making the world series, but would get over it if they lose to Houston or in the CS. Losing in the Wild Card is a failure but not a complete disaster. Where does everyone else stand with this...partially preparing myself as a mod for the uproar level
  13. and a World Series ring
  14. Trying to bail my sister out of a jam. She bought 8 tickets to tomorrow's game on the secondary market...but she meant to buy Sunday. $40 a ticket and will be transferred via ticketmaster. Pm me if interested. Would prefer not to sell odd numbers but will if needed Sec 532, row 22, seat 12-15 Sec 532, row 23, seat 6-9
  15. pfft. Tampa doesn't do anything with information

I still believe these Lions are the best NFC team
  17. Try watching the game BTS...you can't watch it on fangraphs.
  18. Enjoy the game you f***ing idiots. Locking this thread until I can look at what is being reported after the f***ing game. I better not find out it's the same *******s that always cause the trouble.
  19. Congrats NJH! Glad my deal was able to help you.
  20. I have tried telling people that the Jays have some pretty insufferable fans as well (probably in greater quantities these days).Everyone will have their own experience, but I would bet the majority are psoitive. I will hate the entire city of Philly because an incident in 1981, but truly I should just hate one guy. Every team has terrible and great fans, except for the white sox who have exactly 12 fans and they are all terrible
  21. can we continue to carry players as long as they have a red flag, or do we have a hard cap and must be down to the roster number?
  22. I'm swinging with Spanky... Bichette - 2 Points - Vladdy - 2 Points - Springer - 4 Points - Schneider - 4 Points - Varsho - 8 Points - Chapman - 8 Points - Candy Maldonado Biggio - 10 Points - JaysAllMighty Kiermaier - 14 Points - Heineman - 16 Points - Off the bench: 20 Points - Spanky, Hurl
  23. I do 13 to 14 hours a week too
  24. I try to think of what is the most 2023 Jays thing to happen. The one that pops into my head most is following that 5 game win streak with a 4 game losing streak (1 down), followed by a 5 game winning streak and being 1 up with 1 to play...losing but Seattle also loses to backdoor the Jays in.
  25. So the 2022 Phillies with less power
