  1. Pineda complains about his 3 hour delays crossing the border after his arrests. He was never coming here.
  2. Hi, we don't have the capability to trade between sports. However, you can create 4 leagues with the same owners. Then when they make a trade that involves players in another sport, you can go to that league to move players there. Thanks, Brandon The Fantrax Team

that latest proposal was so sweet. I'd give it to them.
  4. I wish sites would just rank players instead of mocking so we don't have to read s*** like:
  5. Worth asking them about. I always figured it would take a lot of legwork on your own
  6. it's criminal. He's blocked them from getting out to go to Tampa as well. I still say they triple attendance in Tampa. I see it as just owing $17M to not play their games according to the lease. But I might be missing something The lease. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/4329865-Memorandum-of-Understanding.html
  7. Ross Atkins: “There’s not a free agent pitcher that we haven’t touched base with”
  8. Competitive Balance is still very broken. Five playoff teams from last year getting picks Round A (picks 31-38) 1) Baltimore Orioles 2) Pittsburgh Pirates 3) Kansas City Royals 4) Arizona Diamondbacks 5) San Diego Padres 6) Colorado Rockies 7) Cleveland Indians 8) St. Louis Cardinals Round B (picks 68-73) 1) Miami Marlins 2) Detroit Tigers 3) Tampa Bay Rays 4) Milwaukee Brewers 5) Cincinnati Reds 6) Minnesota Twins
  9. The multisport league will likely take place next August. Going to work with the active peoples on creating rules.
  10. And he goes from a team that is not investing in Mental conditioning to another team that is not investing in it. Interesting signing for sure. I love seeing the Phillies blow money. Nats fans have to be s***ing right now with Braves and Phils both making big financial moves and the Nats still not rumoured to be the favourite for either Stras or Rendon (although I still think they sign one). NL East is the new AL East but without the front office smarts.
  11. It's almost like the theory is that they have so much surplus from Acuna & Albies, that they can just buy Wins at a 1 for 1 price. Riley better be making up for some of that lost Donaldson value or Donaldson better be coming back. They were one of the luckiest teams in baseball last year by WAR to wins. They can't depend on going 15-4 against the Marlins every year ... well maybe you can.
  12. Negative value in the second half, turns 36 next month. It's a one year deal, so the risk is only money but I wouldn't be surprised if he is not a contributor in the playoffs.
  13. Gausman's projected arbitration was $10.8M. What would you offer him? I'd give him 2 years $15 with a couple mutual options.
  14. I think it's a great time for expansion...probably part of the next CBA discussion. I love lotteries, not 100% sure it will be their priority though.
  15. How fickle is this game. From the non Tender list taking their best season from 2017/2018 RP - Treinen 3.6 SP - Walker 2.5 SP - Gausman 2.6 SP - Sanchez 0.8 1B - Cron 2.2 2B - Hernandez 3.3 SS - Russell 1.5 3B - Franco 1.1 DH - Beckham 3.4 UT - Peraza - 2.6 LF - Santana - 3.3 CF - Pillar 2.0 RF - Souza 3.8 Total fWAR 32.7. Better than half the teams last season.
  16. complete list Has anyone ever got an MVP vote and been Non-tendered in the same year?
  17. Aaron Sanchez the man responsible for BMJB's greatest discussions. We owe him that
  18. Moustakis deal now brings him into his 10th season and the fully vested MLB pension which is based on your 8th, 9th and 10th seasons. Maybe he knew what he was doing all along to maximize his long-term earnings
  19. It's actually Billy Koch doing a Weekend at Bernies with Miller's corpse.
  20. Allen is also without a position. He is not a catcher and pretty much had zero value in the NL. But the Padres are a great example of what happens when you have all the youth in place but add $30M in payroll. It changes the expectations (you want to talk about winning culture...adding a top 10 player and still losing is a quick way to take some confidence away). As much as I hate Preller. I actually like this move. Profar is a one year commitment and should break even on a value side.
  21. Sorry didn't see this. C is a constant that changes from year to year to adjust to the ERA scale (to make an average TIPS = average ERA). For 2013 this constant was 2.57. This was of course Chris Carruthers ERA predictor from 6 years ago. http://www.breakingblue.ca/2013/11/21/tips-a-new-era-estimator/
  22. BJMB and Radio Scouts
  23. Does everyone remember all those championships that Bryce Harper brought the Phillies, Machado brought the Padres, Cano brought the Mariners, ARod brought the Rangers, Pujols brought the Angels, Fielder brought the Tigers, Grienke brought the DBacks. Yet every year we hear about how free agent stars will make your team a champion. At least Scherzer and Price got rings to keep the movement going. If the Jays signed no one this year but got 2 extensions done with the core talent I'd say it was a successful off-season (even though I don't think Bichette or Vladdy will talk extension.
  24. congrats EZE for being the only person in the league who understands the value of this season:D
