  1. They have to start using the second guy in for more innings. Even if they give up a run. Treat them like a 12 to 15 batter starter
  2. Way back to Aug 2019...pay attention
  3. You know that Mods can see that you are deleting your own post saying that you know Didi. If you have insider information we would love to hear it
  4. Washington is Washington they won't be giving up. LaStella will have a few suiters but is a really good target. Flores has 2 years left at nothing, he is the most Zaidi/Harris player on their team. I don't think he will be available. Brandon Crawford will be free.
  5. Danny Duffy is a target for me as much as he's not worth the contract he's an upgrade and the Jays can afford the $15.5 next year (and yes I know this is going to draw eww's but I don't think it takes more than a lottery ticket to get him). If you absolutely believe in this team for next year. Pay the price for Lance Lynn. Going to cost you two prospects. The Rangers lost that new stadium boost and who knows if they get that back. If they make him available there will be 15 or so teams interested. I'm risk adverse on this one. But who knows. Galvis as I mentioned. Cinci has the most decisions to make. Kyle Seager's 2022 option becomes a players option with a trade but he's a guy that would secure 3B this year and next. Improves the first off the bench spot. At the minimum going to cost you a catching prospect plus probably a lively arm. If you are looking at this year only Andrelton Simmons fits the bill. Probably depends on how long Bo is out for. He secures the D but does very little for the offense. As Grant mentions LaStella might be the better fit.
  6. What about Galvis?
  7. Today the young Jays showed that they are intimidated by the Trop
  8. They are not.
  9. Shall we talk about your list. Does this sound familiar 1. SRF Clicks on all parameters, K rate, age/level, control, size, demeanor 2. Alford 5 tools, high floor, power increased in 2016 but needs to get K rate down 3. Tellez K rate declining as he elevates through the system, huge power, would be #1 prospect if played any other position but 1B/DH 4. Vlad superstar potential 5. Greene: step back in 2016, needs to rebound in 2017 or bullpen is his future 6. Gurriel 7. Zeuch 8. Maese 9. McGuire 10. Bichette 11. Pentecost unlikely to be a catcher, athleticism and bat could allow switch to corner OF 12. Ramirez 13. Urena numbers do not support high ranking by others and defense is reportedly average at best, overrated despite young age 14. Woodman 15. Palacios
  10. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a5vzRVH9r_kPRhk2gL-_e5xyVKhBX2ud6XUFicf29qg/edit#gid=557964478 I'd make fun of everyone but I said that if they rushed SRF to the pen he'd outpitch Osuna.
  11. Something he has only done once since 2014 and the Dodgers had to give him a full week off after it.
  12. What does it change the win expectancy? How many runs on the entire year if you did it every day. Seriously you are overreacting
  13. Worst analogy ever. NEVER drive drunk. I am saying the studies show that the optimal lineup every game vs. The worst lineup is about 30 runs a year. People are making way to big a deal about it. If it becomes a habit there should be arms thrown....if drinking and driving is a habit kill yourself please
  14. I've spent the past 5 years following the Rays closely. They had 152 different batting orders last year. 13 different batters batting lead-off, 26 different players batting 9th. All based not on handedness but a lot of data coming in from the front office. Batting orders aren't going to make or break a team.
  15. I am saying it doesn't matter over the context of winning or losing this game. It is a comment to those saying that Montoyo is throwing the game.
  16. because in a single game the order isn't going to matter at all. Over a season I don't want to see Biggio batting 8th and costing him PA's. Over a game it could work out great for the Jays. Yarborough seldom gets to 26 batters faced. Third time through Biggio will see a different pitcher and maybe that is what they want.
  17. I couldn't care less if a manager picked his lineup out of a hat for a game or two. It isn't going to matter
  18. Even sitting in a playoff spot I don't think the Jays should be making any move with 2020 only in mind.
  19. All trade rumours and official trades can go here. Jays trades or big trades can get their own thread. Your own trade ideas for the Jays are alright to go here as well but keep them to a minimum and not while there is a load of action going on
  20. I will start a trade deadline thread if one hasn't been started. But lets talk Reece McGuire. I think there are currently 7 or 8 catcher injuries. The Cardinals have 30 games in 20 days and a catcher 1 day younger than fire. This is the most value Reece is ever going to have. Get a pre-arb bullpen arm for him right now and let the Kirk era start
  21. Religious people are usually so supportive of the LGBTQ community
  22. Johnny Bench on the Yankees broadcast last night. The change away from most of these things are probably a generation away. Once the current players start managing.
  23. The Jays are currently drafting 5th and are 2 games behind drafting 2nd.
