I've spent the past 5 years following the Rays closely. They had 152 different batting orders last year. 13 different batters batting lead-off, 26 different players batting 9th. All based not on handedness but a lot of data coming in from the front office. Batting orders aren't going to make or break a team.

because in a single game the order isn't going to matter at all. Over a season I don't want to see Biggio batting 8th and costing him PA's. Over a game it could work out great for the Jays. Yarborough seldom gets to 26 batters faced. Third time through Biggio will see a different pitcher and maybe that is what they want.
