  1. Way to build in your excuse "Honestly I was all ready to fight but you guys changed the date on me"
  2. If by chance Fatcow is in the Ukraine please have him find this girl as my dancer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eANZZGjke8 be sure to watch to the end
  3. I Touch Myself by the Divinyls. Also acceptable is S Club Party by S Club 7.
  4. I was going to comment on the day it happened that it looked like there was a beer bottle in that picture Ang posted, but thought it was rude to make accusations. PS Did I miss my refereeing gig? PSS What role does a referee have in a no holds barred battle to the death? For the record I refuse to raise either of their hands.
  5. Number of "core" players from the list traded by AA...3
  6. baseballishard.com was taken
  7. you? It's my first time being shutout of the awards since 08. I'm banning everyone that didn't vote for me for something
  8. He was probably absent for the first 9 days.
  9. Breaking all board rules by doing this...but I'm untouchable around here. He's still alive...and whatever this is http://ca.movember.com/mospace/10755021
  10. This is as good a spot as any to report this...the Marlins are looking to extend Hech. They obviously don't believe in what the defensive metrics are saying. They are also looking to extend Fernandez, Yelich and of course Stanton.
  11. Overall not all that interesting. But I found it funny that 13 of the 15 AL mangers got a Manager of the year vote (Ron Washington got a 3rd) but Gibbons didn't get one (Farrell was the other). Also someone voted for Price for the Player of the year but not the pitcher of the year. Also Lucroy got less love than one would expect from BP http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?type=2&articleid=25015#167746
  12. It was...I don't think anything has changed there. So many rumours get leaked about their clients and they always seem to be in trade rumours (Miguel Montero, Hammel, Gallardo, Lewis, Goins...okay so not all their clients)
  13. Honestly I heard about Martin and Sandoval well ahead of time as top targets for the team. I 100% believe they are talking with those two...I just don't believe they will be in the right ballpark
  14. I tease you North...but I appreciate the stuff you do. Now for some fun can you or someone enter in Heyman's picks and see how he does in comparison http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24795422/mlb-free-agency-top-50-where-they-may-sign-and-what-they-will-get Maybe combine them with these ones as these don't predict money http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24795243/eye-on-baseball-staff-free-agent-predictions
  15. I just copied a fangraphs article for mine. I found it much easier.
  16. I don't believe that for a second. Octagon is well known for dropping false rumours.
  17. He speculated on that one too (and everyone that's said to be available) http://www.lonestarball.com/2014/10/27/7078057/mark-buehrle-texas-rangers-potential-offseason-acquisition If Cafardo is right, and Buehrle is on the market, I expect the Rangers to at least inquire about him. The Rangers have had interest in him in the past, and he's the type of pitcher they are looking for this offseason -- a one year guy who they can count on for 200 innings, and who will be a solid #3 starter. If you think Buehrle is likely a 3 win starter for 2015, even his salary isn't really out of line -- you'd be paying him $6.3M per win, which isn't that much above FMV. If you really want to get out there in awesome imagination land, the Rangers have long coveted Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion, having pursued both players at various teams over the past two seasons, and I would bet the Ranger front office is spitballing the possibility of a Buehrle/Encarnacion (owed $10M in 2015, with a $10M club option for 2016) or a Buehrle/Bautista (owed $14M in 2015, with a $14M club option for 2016) package. That would likely require parting with a significant prospect package, however, as well as requiring Ranger ownership to increase payroll above where we expect it to be in 2015. But getting back to just Buehrle, if the Jays are motivated sellers, there could be a fit here. The Rangers have a deep farm system that would allow them to part with some pieces without crippling the farm in order to get Toronto to swallow some more cash, and Buehrle would be a terrific placeholder as the team's #3 starter while they wait for Martin Perez to return in 2016.
  18. Adam Morris from LoneStar ball writes about Rangers potential interest in Happ. http://www.lonestarball.com/2014/11/10/7184173/j-a-happ-texas-rangers-potential-offseason-acquisition At the end of the article he speculates on Happ's value, which is more in line of what I thought it would be. At $6.7 million, he's getting about market value for a one win player on the free agent market, so there's not a ton of surplus value there. I don't know what sort of offers the Blue Jays are getting, or what they're seeking out for Happ, but I suspect that it isn't much, a couple of fringe prospects, a reliever out of options who hasn't established himself as a major leaguer, or an arbitration-eligible player whose current team is considering non-tendering him. And I can't imagine that Happ is the Rangers' first choice. But with a need for starting pitching and a limited budget, Happ is someone who is probably on the radar, and who could end up here.
  19. I tend to dominate leagues that others don't care about (Premier League). I expect by 2016 I'll be walking away with the DDL
  20. One of the most painful processes we've had to go through on this board. I think we all can agree that North should stick to fantasy sports
  21. Don't worry when options 1 and 2 fail that will happen
  22. I'm sure it's sitting in the "Rays ideas to be rejected" file at the MLB office.
  23. Rays announce their final 8 candidates for manager. Ibanez hasn't even retired from baseball. You think they want an inexperienced guy that's going to listen to the front office
  24. Sugar Ray Marimon. Great name and not a horrible pitcher. Gives up too many HR's but worth a look in Buffalo. Jake Elmore would make sense for the Jays. Not going to get a major league role and could be an injury replacement if the 25th man gets hurt. Can hit lefties. Love seeing Zach Stewart on there. Not as much fun with Grant going MIA
  25. Arizona has Peralta, Pollock, Trumbo and Ross. Give them nothing, and take Inciarte and call it a day. The D is real and I really believe the bat has a little improvement in it. Oh wait this isn't my Rays board. Never mind. Seriously though the Rays should be dangling Joyce in front of the Jays (last year of arbitration probably making $5.5M this year)
