  1. 5-1 Jays, 3-3 Yankees, 4-2 Red Sox (with just 2 wins in Baltimore) for the 3 way tie with the Jays getting the final tiebreaker.
  2. Although voters have often been overly influenced by the finish of the season. In the end they are both non factors defensively and one has a 167 wRC+ and the other has a 153 wRC+, is good on the basepaths and has pitched for 130 solid innings. If I'm voting the batting difference isn't quite enough for me. But for some reason I haven't been given voting privileges.
  3. Jays tiebreak situation. Sox and Jays - In Boston Yanks and Jays - In Toronto Three way tie situation. Jays should get the tiebreak at home (Boston sweeping Baltimore could leave this a tie or possibly Boston ahead if the Jays win just 4) Boston hosting NYY with the Jays taking on the winner.
  4. He wasn't a 2021 draftee which was 100% my research resource. He would have been better than most of my picks though. Oh well I'll despair when the Leevi breaks...with the Sens
  5. It's somewhat interesting that no one is really talking about Cora for MOY. The guy should be a lock considering where they were ranked at the start of the season. We are getting close to bringing this back fully to baseball talk.
  6. 1. Patrik Hamrla (Car G) 2. Jakub Malek (NJ G) 3. Semyon Vyazovoy (Sea G) 4. Rasmus Korhonen (Ari G) Thank you
  7. I had 60 players in my queue and it took existing players. f*** Fantrax. I dropped the players I got in the draft. I'd like to pick up legal players for them now if allowed
  8. What I like about it from the Jays side is how much emotion the Jays (and kind of the Rays) show playing each other. Let the fans foster the Sox/Yanks spending advantages resentment, the Rays are your real long term rivals in this division. Build the rivalry, and foster some fans hatred. It's good for AL East baseball.
  9. If you have the draft on at work remember the horn to let you know you are up is very loud.
  10. Even the Astros being in the WS is okay for MLB as it gives baseball someone to hate. The worst scenario for MLB is the Jays in the WS. The second worst is Rays. But baseball contracts are signed through 2028 anyway so really this isn't the year to care.
  11. Connor isn't even Irish...it's a heel gimmick he plays
  12. KK on no sleep ... does his eyes go from dreamy to soothing?
  13. At this point everyone has done everything almost correctly. KK is supposed to sneak that card and give it to his coaches, The Jays are supposed to express disappointment, Cash is supposed to apologize, The Jays are supposed to hit him in the back, Umpire crew is supposed to kick out Borucki (although it should be the home plate umpire not West and in the official record it is the HP ump listed). The league is supposed to give Borucki a couple days. Everything else is for the fans, media and gamesmanship. And KK is not a guy that anyone on the Jays wants to f*** with. Don't let the dreamy eyes fool you he is a martial arts killer.
  14. Because it's all gamesmanship and s*** for fans and media to talk about.
  15. Exactly what Hentgen said today too. KK should take it and understand why....the score being what it is right now might allow for it to happen in 2021 as well.
  16. Top free agents are still the worst way to build. The 1 year deal is the new super value, and still hasn't replaced trading for controllable assets.
  17. Rays just compared it to their pitch sequence notes and in the off season they will tell Kirk what he isn't following from his notes.
  18. It is going to be a fun off-season.
  19. I have zero legit prospects. So I'm buying picks...who's selling?
  20. Never worth the fine. Isn't the high-right side of the plate both Jansen's and Kirk's biggest framing weakness? Not to piss on a conspiracy theory anti-Canadian pity party.
  21. Judging by a 2002 article I found MLB would be able to keep the money for 1 year to accrue any interest but then has to pay back the principle amount for the three deals based on lost games. So a full season it would have $1.7B for a year to invest and then have to pay it back March 2023.
  22. MLB is locked in until 2028 on their TV deals though. I know ESPN went down with Fox and TBS paying more. I think it's 12.4B (1.77B approx per year) from 2022 to 2028. I read that it's $25M per team per year increase from the previous broadcasting deals. Significant but not like the NBA numbers.
  23. From a 2020 SI article. https://www.si.com/mlb/2020/09/14/baseball-playoffs-myths
  24. You could actually build an MLB average bullpen from the bullpen they cut next year and still get Abrams and Euribiel Angeles in the deal.
