  1. Francis? Saucedo? Kevin Smith? Almost all their team has options (McGuire being the most notable exception who doesn't have a job locked down) so it's tough to pick one. Trade? wait until the season starts and put some guys on the 60 day?
  2. I still talk to Nox throughout the football season and will be visiting him and his family next fall. I'm sure he'd provide us with a visit. ECJF shouldn't be that hard to find either. He did a drop-in in 2020
  3. Toronto Blue Jays Message Board Statistics Threads 6,896 Posts 1,304,531 Members 5,626 Active Members 181 Admin and I had plans for a big celebration for the 1 million post and forgot. I even had a Blue Jays celebrity who had agreed to read a message (probably best that it didn't happen cause it would have surely had a f*** Weams part). Maybe I'll get something done for the 10 year anniversary next May. Who should we try to find and bring back?
  4. Some of my additional takes: George Bell does not make my Mt Rushmore for Jays outfielders. I could actually be sold on Henke being on the list. The guy put up modern day reliever numbers in a hitters era. And he's 28th in Innings pitched. Ernie Whitt is criminally underrated as he is making some what appear to be joke lists. At worst he is the second best catcher the Jays ever had (I put him behind Martin myself) and is the 78th best catcher by fWAR all-time
  5. Is he good enough to move Pearson in a deal is the question
  6. Stieb, Halladay, Bautista, Fernandez. Could replace Fernandez with Delgado but no playoff games hurts his cause (even though Halladay doesn't have one either).
  7. until...SiriusXM gets exclusive rights to the Radio deals
  8. What is the date that would get a 130 game season in? We all know that is about when it gets signed.
  9. How does everyone feel about hiding your weakest fielder in a position which the ball won't go to? Cause that will likely happen now, if they can get it done within the pitch clock.
  10. Sent you something. As usual, I'll not be fast in responding to negotiation...but that likely won't matter this year.
  11. Because overall owners lose money in April. If the season is 130 games, fans still come back in July because there is f*** all else to do and by playoffs all the greed is forgotten. I hope this answers your question
  12. Anthony Volpe Matt Brash Colton Cowser Owen Caissie James Wood Michael McGreevy Gabriel Gonzalez Double maple boner...a couple of power beasts and some IMG flavour. 3 BA top 100 3 BP top 75 My Farm BA ranks now. 10, 21, 23, 24, 34, 45, 57, 98 BP likes my farm a little less 7, 14, 23, 28, 46, 55, 67, 88.
  13. I shouldn't have even made that pick. I made it work in my roster. Void my next please
  14. I'll change it to my work email now. That is the only one I monitor 24 hours. Because I'm a good employee, unlike some of you.
  15. I'm sitting with Cartaya and Soderstrom or I may have taken him at 10. Considering he'll likely move off catcher, I probably should have just popped him.
  16. picked. message next. Wednesday's are bad. Also holy f*** I took a pitcher. This won't end well.
  17. There are only 6 of us in the top 10
  18. This is why I choose to never have a pitching staff
  19. and the lineups must be in order before the draft starts right? I am only using my four 1st's and two 3's. I will sell my last 3 picks at pennies on the dollar...given that I actually like you.
  20. Fair market value is defined as the highest price, expressed in dollars, that a team would bring in an open and unrestricted market, between a willing buyer and a willing seller who are both knowledgeable, informed, and prudent, and who are acting independently of each other. Business valuations are usually done (at a minimum) by looking at 5 years of financial statements, shareholder agreements, budget and forecasts and payroll records. I can't see it being that simple for a sports team though. I really think Dick would the poster who could answer this the closest. Or we could see if Forbes posts their methodology.
  21. Why cherry pick the dow30. If John Henry invested his entire $660,000,000 in Monster Beverage Company on the same day he bought the Sox he would have $691,597,500,000...and wouldn't have to live in Boston. f***ing loser and his $3.5B Red Sox.
  22. Cause I'm the kind of guy that would be an ass and take his player. It is the same thing really I have 100% trust in Linc to uphold his part. When we look back from a historical perspective, if I'm wrong (and as Volpe is a Yankee I kind of hope I am) I only blew the 3th pick not the first. Also gets some DDL chat going. I mean we are approaching 50k in posts in this thread.
  23. You don't have a luxury tax if there is no season.
  24. It is a side deal to not select Volpe with the 1st or 2nd pick. I assume all the risk if he backs out or trades the first or second pick. PS. I'm selecting Volpe at pick 3.
