    But spending $200M, falling out of contention and losing that soldout stadium is really bad for the team. The cuts become deeper and hurt the process. I'd much rather see a F.O. that is thinking "where do we have to be when it comes time for Josh Donaldson to be a free agent" than one that says "lets spend now because we lose JD in 2 years". Jays fans are never going to fully support a losing team, but also Rogers is never going to support an expensive losing team.

    Patrick Murphy's Mom just sent me a thank you message for us including her son on our list. She should thank BBBB, in whatever ditch he's in.

    The idea is to have the fans buy into the system to where they show up regardless of perceived success. Dropping salary upon one unsuccessful season just destroys a fanbase (see KC). Showing fans that you can be successful as a mid pack team isn't going to pack the house, but it won't increase expectations. It's tough as I doubt the "smart fanbase" is big enough anywhere to fill a stadium. Nor do they (we) bring an energy to the park.

    I'm honestly not sure he even hears info. He just seems to find things that make sense in his mind (Jays need an OF, so I am going to link them to everyone for example) and posts them. He is the worst of the writers IMO.

    No list will be posted until TRM and I submit our lists. It's not like TRM has a history of disappearing for long periods of time, and I know you are a TRM fan and wouldn't want to proceed without his input.

    jumping early on the market worked last year...appears to have not this year. Not that I think Kendrys at 3 years $33M is a mistake per se. Just not great in appearance.

    I've been saying this all along. If anything happened to Grilli or Osuna I'd go to Greene first. Of course I have him as busting as a starter though.

    I could revisit it as the Yount rookie Topps and OPC are selling for similar now. I'd be so much better off selling my cards one by one online but who has time for that.

    Someday I will buy a Jersey...no actually I probably won't. Only one I've ever had was an Expos Jersey which I borrowed from a friend. Before returning it I had Grudzielanek stitched on it, knowing it was his least favourite player. I had to buy him a new one and I had my very first jersey. I'd still wear it proudly if I was 60 pounds lighter and it wasn't at Goodwill.

    Cards are all about selling new now (opposite of what makes sense and how it was when I was growing up). I made almost $2000 on the Tim Horton's hockey by selling immediately. One year later the cards are selling for about 20% of the prices I sold for. Overall cards are an odd market, if it's not graded it's basically worthless (not 100% true, but certainly is for older cards). The only ones making a shitload of money are the grading services. I have a collection with 2 Rookie Gretzky's, several Patrick Roy's a few cool rookie baseball (albeit OPC not Topps), no dealer will give me s*** for the collection.

    Which is part of the reason I don't want to ban him. A banned Dogg is tougher to monitor. Real Accountant many have on ignore. Makes everyone work harder.
