    I love Timmy Raines but I really don't think it is the Jays place to honour him. Continuity of franchises let the Nats do it. Not a huge deal but if the expos did still exist the Jays would be happy to put them out of business

    You can usually get enough info off of baseball America, D1Baseball and Perfect Game's free stuff to get an informed opinion. My ranking by draft content I'd say Perfect Game, D1 and then Baseball America but BA is worth the subscription of the three because of what else you get.

    Mock drafts are virtually useless in baseball. They drastically change weekly (especially during the Summer Leagues). Seth Beer is dropping all the time now (I don't agree with it as he's not getting pitched to at all) and it's over a year away. He's playing 1B in college but he's really a corner OF. Batting just .265 against weak early season teams isn't going to endear him to teams in the spot for number 1 (18 of his 30 hits have been for extra bases) when it's supposed to be a very strong draft. I think he'll Anthony Rendon it and end up in the 5-10 range. I do believe he'll be the best fantasy prospect in that draft.

    I do believe I've only been in worse than 15th once. I'm not very smart at my losing. I'm going to enjoy this week of Dinger bringing up the rear, with you and NJH just in front of him. Nothing you can say can ruin my good day...or get that visual out of anyone's heads.

    I leave decisions like this to those that win...I'd be happy with 7-6 against a DDL Legend and just glad to be in a competition with him. I didn't notice that I was behind in K/BB too. Turned that around and got a 10-2 win (10-1 if Ozuna steals a base but I'm not expecting that). f*** you Dinger!

    I could bench Thor and take the 9-3 win....or I could risk two stats and hope for a W to make it 9-2. I always make wrong decisions here (like Dinger benching Pujols today) but of course I leave Thor in.

    I'd also like to add the difference between this gym teacher and every gym teacher I had. Only female teacher I had was a 50 year old lesbian who kept telling me that she could bench press three of me and I should put on some weight (I showed her that I could...30 years later)

    The Wikipedia article also calls his son a daughter so I'm guessing it's not all that reliable here. I love the "I never taught him" part. He was drafted in June 2003 ($950K bonus). The dating to Marriage timeline doesn't sound legit to me but who knows. His first kid wasn't born until December 2006 so it wasn't shotgun.

    Scott Carson blocked me on Twitter because I pointed out the irony of a "stats guy" reporting the Rays 50/50 draw being $121 prize when it was really $6,581 (but being close counts for statisticians right).
