  1. My Cards friends are saying good riddance. Goins gone and I got blocked by Marty York today...that's a good day!
  2. For you Boxy...nothing is going to ruin this day for me.
  3. The young female Jays bloggers, vloggers, Twitter Followers and Matt Harvey coming out with stories of Zaun DM's and Dick Pics now.
  4. I love that you can't even see the difference.
  5. Get ready for the Barker and Wilner show!!! http://files.constantcontact.com/51361759301/da7dfb8b-cede-4ea8-8f63-49efe4c2d418.jpg?a=1127481420234 Hazel Mae: "I swear when I complained about Zaun's behaviour I didn't know Kevin would get hired"
  6. This is what was read on air (Fan 590 I think)
  7. Sportsnet has fired him over inappropriate workplace behaviour. Zero surprise there
  8. and the Trop is a Maxi Pad I honestly thought most of the park factor was caught in FIP though?
  9. 1. It's 1.3 for Osuna in 2015 2. xFIP is not used in calculating fWAR. It's just FIP, and the difference would that you are looking at different years...which means different replacement levels. Plus 5 extra IP's
  10. Stanton is sitting with an FA contract (if he were a Free Agent this year there would be several teams willing to pay him 10 years $300M. SF is paying the price (of 3 players) to go 10 years $255M...without having to compete in the negotiations of a contract. I think it's a very fair price to pay to land one of the elite bats in the game. Not to mention they are probably factoring in that the NL will have a DH within that contract. Lets go high here and say that he needs 35 WAR to pay for that contract....well 133 hitters in baseball history have put up at least 35 fWAR between the age of 28 and 38. It's one of those break even at best type deals but Stanton can make a difference for the next 5 years if he can stay healthy...I would just question if San Fran is close enough right now (a lot like the Jays in 2013)
  11. He's also going to have very little trade cost and only a 1 year $10.5M contract. Who has no real injury history and bats left handed. Last year he went sub 100 wRC+ for the first time vs. RHP. It wouldn't take much improvement for him to break even for a 1 year salary and if the team is struggling or finds a better option in RF, he is a the kind of guy that is easy to move at the deadline. He certainly wouldn't be the first RF I look at but he's a low cost acquisition and might benefit from a move from Atlanta (he was terrible at home all three years in Atlanta and even had a 117 wRC+ on the road last year).
  12. AA promotes Perry Minasian to Asst. GM and steals Tinnish from the Jays. Dana Brown should follow next and the four (headless) horsemen will ride again.
  13. He has a lot of connections to former Astros too. Anthony Bass and him were supposedly very close. I thought about them but still say Cubs
  14. Rays talking Odorizzi with the Twins...Colome with several teams. I think the M's get Colome, maybe both
  15. Cubs are my pick
  16. Supposedly he was very upset about his injuries this year (even the surgery he had in October is supposedly one they would have put off in the MLB but he insisted on it), as he hates missing time. Now you read that he wants medical training reports. It would be so amazing for these letters to go public. Interesting note. Former Otani teammate Michel Abreu works as a minor league position coach with the Jays.
  17. A+ name as well
  18. Don't know if you were following during the steroid witch hunt but young and old alike were calling it a black mark on the America's game. They brought in parents who told stories of how steroids effected their children (Taylor Hooten's parents were positioned very prominently in the trial, knowing now that their son likely was suffering from depression from CTE, rather than steroid use). Drugs=bad...it has been driven into North American's minds for generations now.
  19. Did Orgfiller just respond to Silvergun? Rookies can't make direct eye contact with the champ! Nevermind me I was bothered that he took my syphilis joke.
  20. Mental conditioning...about half have full teams and don't outsource. Injury prevention work and conditioning that way, I really don't know how many. All probably say they do but some will be more advanced than others.
  21. Who the f*** in North America is going to endorse this guy? He's a robot that lives in the team dorms on the $1000 a month that his parents give him from his salary. He's eats, sleeps baseball...nothing else.
  22. With respect to the Hall of Fame we have spent a lot of time on this board s***ing on the BBWAA (although we've acknowledged they are getting better). Well it is possible that the BBWAA is trying to do the right thing and it is actually the Hall committee itself which has been trying to control things. Now Joe Morgan had to stick his amphetamine popping head into things and Jeff Passan (who I don't really like) wrote a beautiful response. https://sports.yahoo.com/giving-hall-fame-vote-joe-morgans-letter-144738128.html My favourite quote in the whole thing... Followed by one of the shame's in all this...people who understand it might not vote this year.
  23. Not hookers and blow
