  1. That's a lot of guys on the 40 in the minors though (I hate relievers on the 40 and not in the majors). Obviously you send Pannone and Borucki down to start if they don't make the club...but I think you just cut Mayza and Dermody if they don't make it. For the RHP, I'm not sure who I give the pass to. Ramirez has spent so little time pitching, and was unhittable in a SSS last season that I think he gets a shot in the pen and if he doesn't he's the first up. Almost the entire team has options remaining, so we can work the s*** out of the pen if choose.
  2. Play by play is seldom a baseball guy. Unless it's a guy like Sawkiw who has been slowly moving over to it. He did the Pan Am games on his own so he was both play by play and colour. I think it will be a play by play person from another sport
  3. This year’s summer weekend trips suck for the Jays, for those that won’t go west coast. June is Detroit and LA Angels. July is solid with Boston and Chicago but no way would I go to Chicago for a White Sox game (I don’t care who they are playing I’d go to three Wrigley games). August is Yankees and Mariners. Labour Day is the Marlins which I’d consider but then I looked at the prices in Miami that weekend. I’m going to the Rays in May, and the Yankees series doesn’t work for timing so unless I do LA (probably under 5% chance as I’ll be working the FIBA u18s for s*** money)
  4. I know i'm a Boras fan, so my opinion is skewed, but he's one of the most interesting characters in baseball. Most of the front offices actually say they like dealing with him, and in most cases his players get what they demand (I can see a change in that though) but he's also tackling issues in the CBA publicly. Sometimes subtle like how he mentioned the Jays should have offered Sanchez a small raise as a show of good faith after his 2016 season. That had little to do with Sanchez, but much more to do with the CBA, and now the media has started to pick up on that story. Most agents are *******s and he's let himself be the face for baseball agents. MBLPA needs agents to be the bad guys to get what they want. Is any of it good for baseball...nope. But the MLB nor the MLBPA care as much about what is good for baseball.
  5. I agree with you. Wilner is unpopular because of the phone in show. On play by play he's just fine and Siddall is getting better each year so there is no reason for him to go too much off the rails on play by play. I like Jerry more as a person than an announcer anyway.
  6. I would too, but I would slit my wrists before hanging out with Stallone. Hollywood is full of scum...and he is among the worst.
  7. How the legends have fallen... http://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/sites/csnchicago/files/styles/article_hero_image/public/2018/02/11/new_sammy_sosa_cowboy_update_slide_image.jpg?itok=piUP_5Ru
  8. As a 20 pack ticket holder i used to get 6 opening Day/Canada Day tickets, then they cut it to 4 and eventually 2. Now I'm not even sure 20 pack holders can get Opening day. So now more are available in comparison to previous years.
  9. They have made it so hard to get those through packages.
  10. Admin was seeing nothing on his side which would be causing this.
  11. I do enjoy watching the best at what they do. Although I think he's gone a little Billy Beane in the past few years.
  12. Boras isn't going because they are going to IMG and him (as well as other agents) are not allowed on campus. Other agents are happy with them going to a world class facility...Boras owns a world class facility.
  13. Isn't being mad at math just wrong? The system does appear to be a little broken but for gods sake the Cards have to give Carson Kelly a chance to at least become Realmuto or better.
  14. I don't have him...but I'd move Judge for him in a second. Just doesn't belong with those guys IMO. Not that his .230/.390/.550 second half is bad numbers...it's not the 200 wRC+ first half. He's more Mark McGwire than Pujols for me.
  15. If he keeps 3B only and puts up Rendon numbers it will be interesting to see what I can get for Bryant in an LOD trade
  16. And if you are behind the times, you are still selling this in book form!!!! I know some people love to have them and I wish I had some earlier ones (I think I have 6 or 7...which is pretty much my entire book collection), but all info is available on their site.
  17. I can see ignoring value/salary/years of control and the aging curve to make your team better right now. But it just wouldn't even be close for Boston. Cleveland's OF is pretty below average for a contender and really no depth either. It's a shame their division is so s***, they can take their time to improve the OF...or else they would be a prime team to complete a OF for Pitcher deal
  18. if it's a full right angle L shape it could be no girth and I'm never wearing pants. Truth is I just hate pants
  19. 20 and 12. Flexibility is for the bedroom (and Spanky's spine) not the DDL
  20. BBWAA votes are all up. sorry if already posted https://bbwaa.com/18-hof-ballots/
  21. the number he hit his Bingo with...
  22. You are all f***ed in the head. JD Martinez has received a 5 year $125M offer and he isn't even a top 60 player over the past 3 years. How bad of a season would Donaldson have to have to be considering accepting something in that range? He's projected to have another 6 win season this year. Who was the last free agent who was projected for a 5 win season? David Price and he got paid...last hitter? Heyward might have been close but I figure it was around 4.5. I assume it's Cano in 2013, who was 31 and has put up 16.4 WAR in the 4 seasons since (and is projected over 3 in his age 36 season.
  23. Giants finally retiring number 25. If WestJet flies to San Fran I might know where to use my Airline credit.
