    I can't tolerate the misinformation now. Last year I never listened to the broadcast but I don't have mlb.tv this year.

    And gained some national prominence for Chris Carruthers TIPS formula for predictive ERA. He was nominated for a SABR award I believe.

    It seriously is time for him to go. I figure the liver will take him out soon enough anyway but even if not, just announce it's his last season.

    Rays are starting Romo tomorrow to face the Angels heavy right handed lineup for the first inning or two (Angels only have 3 left handed bats on the team and none are everyday starters). Then Yarborough will come in. I'd love to know their reasoning for it but it's entertaining.

    There is enough stories out there now and the Team has said nothing. I KNOW those are not good things. Still opinion, mixed in with the rumours that insiders are saying. Osuna will never ever pitch with the Jays again. You can give me all your "this means nothing" Innocent until proven guilty. I am here to be that guy that tells you be prepared for the Jays to lose a key asset.

    Over the past two seasons the best pitcher of the David Price for Daniel Norris trade has been Matt Boyd. Legit or no?

    I prefer the home movies he sends me... It's pretty cool to see him. I have another friend who I grew up with who has been in two films with him. They actually look quite a bit alike too.

    Love the idea Boxy. I have a few suggestions I'll send offline. But I do know someone from Humber's Broadcast who is a fan but isn't part of this board but could be a good host. Having someone from the outside might even be good to keep the inside jokes to a minimum. Another thought is that we have a professional actor on this board who at least could make for a good host. Although he does not represent the analytical side which separates this board from the others. Like the idea of adding video to the audio (Jays highlights, maybe even if we are talking about a specific swing or something getting video to match what is being talked about). I know nothing about the legalities of this though.

    Eierman is still interesting. Considering his 3 for 30 start his overall numbers are are similar to last year. Slight drop in BB rate, but lowered the K-rate too. Now slashing .302/.390/.350 (.313/.410/.650 ish last year) but the HR's have dropped from 23 to 9. He's projected anywhere from end of the 1st round to the 3rd round.

    Regardless...no MLB player should take anything without filing a TUE. There is zero medical reason that is a legit excuse for this.

    meh there are loads of us here that came through the OBA or Canadian Baseball. I've run tournaments, officiated (scorekeeper not umpire) Nationals 3 times and played for 12 years and watched teammates get screwed over by the National system (which is a million times better right now). I don't think any player owes s*** to the teams they played for. In Ontario traditionally the system has held players back and forced them to the U.S. to get proper coaching/exposure. The Elite system works but the many have to pay for the few (once you are on the 3rd team you aren't elite anymore, just paying your $10K to fund those that they cut deals for). Treat the players better when here and maybe they will be happy to give back.

    He even says that this won't be popular. He also says that he felt good for James as a fellow baseball player Not because he's Canadian ... then said his rant, so it is more about this example. Then when the interviewer asked him after his rant that he just thought it was a cool thing. Votto apologized for being a downer. Then the interviewer said when it comes to the Raptors he cares. Votto answered with that's financial, a deeper run means he sells his season tickets for a bigger profit. It was very specifically "baseball" he was talking about. Not that he doesn't care about Canada...he just doesn't care about Canadian baseball in that way. He sees baseball as baseball.
