Yeah I think I can agree that the top teams are equal to Low A level...the difference being that stats can be padded against some really weak teams.

This year, they are expected to give the top bonus for a 16-year-old player in the 2018 class, with Dominican shortstop Orelvis Martinez connected to the Blue Jays and likely to sign for more than $3 million. Martinez is a physical righthanded hitter who generates easy power, and while he might begin his career at shortstop, he profiles well at third base. Venezuelan catcher Javier D’Orazio and Dominican outfielder Amell Brazoban are also Blue Jays targets.

I just don't think the return would have been there and he's still putting up positive value. I'd just make sure he doesn't get to that 1100 PA's and save the $500k when you pick up the option.

And being a 5'11" 1st basemen should keep him out of the top half of the 1st round. That could change if he plays in the cape and shows something with a wood bat but he's heading to the National team so he might not play in the Cape.

They are calling Stanton's walkoff homerun his first signature Yankee moment. I see this more as the beginning of the Mariners collapse. For me it's just a question of whether it is a complete collapse or do they stick in a playoff spot until late.

If a team went down to 3 starters for the playoffs...is Happ a starter for any AL team outside of Seattle? I don't think any AL team is giving up a top spect. The Yankees to stay out of the wildcard game and Seattle if they actually have the pipe dream of catching the Astros (I'd say the Mariners for holding off their pending collapse). Top 100 guy is in play...top 50 guy probably isn't unless there are some injuries in the next month. Better chance that it's a AAA back of the rotation guy and a couple young lottery tickets.
