    Aoki is a better option than staying in-house. He'd get on base at a decent clip for our sluggers and has a very dependable profile. Walks, doesn't strike out, slaps the ball all over the field. Decent defense.

    Matt Kemp would hit 40 in OPACY. I'm watching MLBN and Harold Reynolds and the other analysts on MLB Hot Stove can't figure out why the Dodgers are shopping Kemp, they think it's stupid. Matt Kemp is great but they have five quality outfielders lol.

    Melky's camp is clearly frustrated by the market. I think they expected offers in the 4/60 range to flow in and it just isn't happening. Teams are getting smarter, they know he's more of an average regular than a star. If he continues to not get what he's looking for and Toronto's 3/39 offer is still there in January, I expect he'll come back for that. I like that AA is taking a hard-line stance. That's Melky's plan but I don't think it'll work.

    That's what I thought. It's a smart thing to say too, because it won't rile up the fans or alienate anyone if he does return. He know the Blue Jays have more money in reserve than they've offered so far, so he's trying to add some leverage.

    Boston didn't have much money at all tied up beyond 2015. Pedroia, Castillo, Craig, Uehara. This is them continuing to reap the benefits of the Dodgers trade.
