  1. He's day-to-day with a sore shoulder (crashed into the wall). Brett Cecil with his best velo of the season last night! http://www.fangraphs.com/fgraphs/2660_P_FA_20150504.png
  2. Yankees fans can say the same thing though. And Whitley is pitching better than Dickey.
  3. Buck: "Yeah get a fresh start, don't want to give in to Gardner 3-1." HE THROWS THE SAME PITCH EVERY TIME ANYWAY
  4. The pace is refreshing and it's headed to an interesting finish. Lots of balls in play too.
  5. It's funny how quickly Martin turned around his season; some people were worried he dug himself into a season-long hole. He's 11th in AL WAR now lol
  6. No. Martin, Travis and Donaldson have been among the very best players in the majors. Bautista and Pillar are probably 4-5.
  7. Buchholz's peripherals are fantastic and much better than Doubront's ever were. And he does not have history of under-performing his peripherals. I'd hold on tight.
  8. Hanley hurts himself crashing into the monster... damn
  9. Carrera's not that bad, projects solidly above-replacement. Would probably be fine as a full-time fourth outfielder who never faces lefties.
  10. I might. You just rendered a whole page of content unreadable.
  11. If you keep replying to him I'll have no choice but to put you on ignore as well.
  12. I like how the league follows trends too, and how people look at past deals as precedent for future ones. I've adjusted my pitching approach over the years and feel good about what I'm currently doing.
  13. The next Chris Hatcher?
  14. I think Osuna was always a more polished pitcher than Castro and that the results of the two pitchers are reflective of their present abilities. I didn't perceive that Castro looked particularly flustered on the mound and projection systems that weigh their minor league statistics agree with what has happened.
  15. The Padres paid an absolutely absurd price to acquire Craig Kimbrel and their bullpen has been worth an amazing -0.8 fWAR so far, far and away last in the Majors. Boston has spent a lot of money recently on relievers and they sit 29th. The Dodgers spent the offseason getting rid of the relievers they overspent on and acquiring cheap hard-throwing arms, and are crushing every other bullpen in effectiveness. There's no surefire way to build a bullpen quickly. I wanted to sign a couple Jason Grilli types too or maybe splurge on Gregerson, but the Blue Jays decision not to do that is not the sole determinant of anything. They've blown up in an uncharacteristically high number of high-leverage spots and will not continue to do so.
  16. James Shields! The Royals rotation was pretty good last year and was helped greatly by their defence.
  17. Yep. Also, Baker's ZiPS projection seems to be broken: 2.05 HR/9. That doesn't make any sense. I'll tweet at Szymborski.
  18. Should of just asked for Baker in return lol
  19. I feel bad about starting this lol. Get out of this thread guys, the game is over!
  20. I point out a fraction of the mistakes that you do. Be careful what you wish for.

  22. Nobody considers Mexico or the DR to be in South America, sorry. If you wanted to be clever you could have just said "Central Americans." You'd think they were 6-17 or something.
