  1. Just about any trade has two or three players going each way lol. Some scoop!
  2. Puerto Rican. Also not South America ya bike!
  3. Santiago was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey.
  4. I'd take Holland over Skaggs, Santiago and Happ combined (contracts considered).
  5. Interesting. I like what the Rockies did here.
  6. Nothing, people are just burnt out from talking about Cliff Lee. We'd still love to have him.
  7. Me too and it's not even close. Holland is really really good and has a really really good contract.
  8. Aren't Hamels' 3.3 wins in 2014 worth more to the Blue Jays than $7.5M per since they'd be higher than average on the win curve, and they have a self-imposed window of 2014-15? The analysis is still relevant, but I feel like when considering specific situations more has to be taken into account.
  9. Yep everyone's been talking about him since he broke the Nolasco and Fister deals. Hilarious how he's missing school right now to be at the WM!
  10. Or buy him a drink (or several)! LAA and ARI want relievers, maybe AA could insert himself in this somehow.
  11. And he'll be guaranteed positional flexibility with Goldy hogging 1B.
  12. Chris Cotillo says the proposal has Kendrick to the White Sox... get Rick Hahn on the phone AA!
  13. He has been and still is almost exclusively a sinkerballer. How do you explain such a drastic tick up in k-rate? Can a 24.3% k-rate be sustainable with only a 9.2% whiff-rate (below average)?
  14. No, I like Skaggs a lot too. It would be foolish for Arizona to give him away along with other assets.
  15. Masterson's k-rate this year was a huge outlier and he historically has massive platoon splits. I'll pass.
  16. Hamels is a super-durable 30 year old ace on a reasonable contract. Remarkably consistent too. I'd give up half the farm. He's exactly what we need.
  17. Cole Hamels <3 Go for it AA!
  18. I bet the starter was from the third team. Maybe the D'Backs (Cahill?), they seem to get into a lot of three-ways.
  19. MLB seems to have negotiated too good of a deal.
  20. Logan Morrison appears to be on the move, destination unknown. Worth a thread?
  21. You still mulling over Price trades in DDL?
  22. Not if Mike Timlin gets in first!
  23. Yeah I'm interested in Morrison. I doubt it would take more than a Pillar type.
