  1. JFaS, do you have run values for non-BIP pitch outcomes (swinging strike, called strike, ball, foul)? I'm doing some research and could really use those.
  2. Homer Bailey. And a second baseman, maybe Infante.
  3. Exactly half (16/32) of people predicted Beltran would sign with the Yankees! I'm surprised he got a third team. This seems like a slight overpay.
  4. Smoak is a half-decent 1B or DH and they have enough money to sign Napoli or Morales for the other. Seems like they can sign a second-tier outfielder too, maybe Corey Hart. Then if they acquire Price or another top starter with Walker, their rotation will be really good. I think that team would have a shot at the playoffs. The Mariners didn't have a whole lot of hope in 2015+, so why spend another year in mediocrity for nothing? They'd only continue to fall behind the A's and Rangers, and soon the Astros would be on them. Winning games is the goal of any MLB franchise, and Cano will win the Mariners a lot of games. Maybe they'll lose the $/WAR Olympics, but they do have a lot of payroll flexibility and have had a difficult time recently getting players to take their money. They needed something big to happen this offseason. Cano qualified as that and they could afford it, so they pulled the trigger. I like this move a lot.
  5. Why does everyone always spell Nate's name wrong? It's almost as bad as the Taveras/Tavares situation.
  6. I'm shopping Shin-Soo Choo for a pitcher. If you need a #1 outfielder (one of 20 players ever to go 20-20-.420) and can offer a #1/2 fantasy starter, send me an email or PM. I'm hoping to get something done by Friday.
  7. I love what the team getting Upton and Kershaw was able to do (CatsAss and fearthedoc). Especially Upton -- trading five non-elite pieces for a good young player is what all of us are trying to do. You now have the #1 position player AND the #1 pitcher. Nice!
  8. I've only promoted Mike Montgomery, but that was for roster manipulation purposes prior to the draft (I outright cut him soon after). So I haven' really promoted any prospects.
  9. No49 Pharm Update 1. Matt Davidson 2. Tyrone Taylor 3. Orlando Arcia 4. Luis Heredia 5. Stephen Piscotty 6. Cheslor Cuthbert Taylor and Arcia will both rank highly in the Brewers list, Keith Law says Taylor is 'probably' his #1 Brewer. Davidson should be top three on the D'Backs and Heredia and Piscotty should make their teams' list. Jason Parks will probably rank my top four guys in his top 100 -- in particular he loves Arcia (and is why I took him lol).
  10. That's weird. Morton's barely relevant even in the deepest of leagues. I dislike veto systems. People use them for their own benefit and not as a collusion-prevention method.
  11. I'm curious... how many trade messages do you guys send out/receive a week on average? Also, sent you a Proboards PM Spank
  12. Alright I sent you something Also, if anyone is looking to trade down from a top 10 MiLB pick, PM me.
  13. No, the other way around! I expect SP-eligible relievers will be a hot commodity. I would keep Brian Matusz if he held onto the eligibility. You should only have a SP in a RP slot if you have >5 starters going that day.
  14. I do want to add another closer this offseason (and would trade a decent pick), but am going to wait until after the Waiver Draft.
  15. I sent out a bunch of Proboards PMs yesterday... check your messages people!
  16. Kemp, Fielder, Lowrie are also under 30. Beltre is the only one who is 'old', but he has shown no sign of decline. In fact, Beltre posted many of the best plate discipline numbers of his career in 2013 - Contact%, SwStr% were bests, BB% second best. Fifth-best WAR in baseball since start of 2010. Jed Lowrie is a risk, NJH is right about that.
  17. I actually tend to think my offense is young and healthy lol. Beltre and Choo are the only ones 31 or older, and they're both durable and playing the best baseball of their careers. Kemp is an injury risk but Carter is a decent replacement. I feel like the unpredictability of pitching will level the playing field some and I do plan on adding one or two viable guys. It's a definite question mark though. Also, I have third original top 10 picks (not that it means anything).
  18. C Mauer 1B Fielder 2B Kipnis 3B Beltre SS Lowrie CF McCutchen OF Kemp OF Choo UTIL Rizzo/Carter BE LaRoche, Green SP Bailey SP Cueto SP Parker SP Porcello SP Smith SP Oberholtzer SP Duffy RP Perkins I need another good starter or two... but my offense is going to be untouchable.
  19. I keep an active list of who is above and below the keep line. Right now I'm at 12/7/1. For me it's all about value and not positional need. After the cut-down there will still be plenty of offseason left to structure your roster properly.
  20. Would anyone trade a top 12 MiLB pick for a pick in the 20-23 range and the #53 pick? I may be looking to do that swap, so if it works, PM me.
  21. If someone did these DDL team prospect rankings, I could post them in the RPI.
  22. 14. Matt Davidson (PCL) 14. Stephen Piscotty (FSL) 20. Cheslor Cuthbert (TL) Not much. But that's due to trades, I've drafted fairly well IMO. I also expect Tyrone Taylor and Orlando Arcia to each make at least one of the major top 100 lists. Heredia is my final prospect, he needs to take a big step forward in 2014 to avoid washing out.
  23. Nope, I was speaking of Angels outfielder Michael Fish! http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=fish--000mic This guy's going to be a fantasy monster. A northeast product with power, speed, average, defense, and he's still only 22... wow.
