  1. He's throwing it seven percentage points less this year than he has over his career. And it's a plus-plus pitch. He's really good. -------- Bautista (9 HR)- 1 Point- Jonn, G-Snarls, Edwin (2 HR) - 1 Point- Angrioter, Chappy, jays4life19 Rasmus (7 HR) - 1 Point- Dylan Lawrie (6 HR) - 2 Points- Francisco (3 HR) - 2 Points- Melky (6 HR) - 2 Points-o2cui2i, Spanky99, JaysAllMighty,baseballsss, NorthOf49 Reyes (2 HR) - 3 Points-Saskjayfan Navarro (1 HR) - 5 Points- Kratz (1 HR) - 7 Points- Thole (0 HR)- 8 Points- Tolleson (0 HR) - 8 Points- Getz (0 HR) - 9 Points-
  2. At that rate Cueto is still a 3+ K/BB guy with a great OBPA. Plus he's supposed to be one of the best at holding runners, which is responsible for some of the historic ERA/FIP split. And he pitches for a good offense. It's nice to see our Price/Choo swap has been win-win so far! I've stomached the OBP and runs lost from Choo (8-1-1 in those categories) and have appreciated Price's mastery of the strike zone (high ERA be damned).
  3. Gose is leading the team in dWAR... and he's only played three games lol. Also, Troy Tulowitzki is already at 3.1 on the season!
  4. I passed Hurl in overall pitching! Absolutely crushing the ratios: 5th, 1st, 2nd. My guys are at an 8.9 K/9 and 2.4 BB/9 clip. Justin Verlander is a career 8.46 and 2.79 guy.
  5. Turkey Bacon Club Division teams were all within a single category win in their matchups last week: 7-6-1, 7-6-1, 7-6-1, 6-6-2, 6-7-1. Matt Cain to the DL for a cut finger. I was looking forward to his two-start week. Oh well.
  6. I've brought up the latter a few times lol. This should finally get it fixed.
  7. If you look at the two deals as a combination, it's a very good job by CatsAss of adding impact talent without giving up core pieces.
  8. I knew you'd end up with A-Gon! Knew it. It's a fair trade if you're a Skaggs fan, which I am. I'm also pretty sure how you'll end up replacing Rosario at catcher.
  9. I'm going to hand the champs their first loss Was down 9-4 going into today too!
  10. I'm okay! It's between school terms so I'm not as plugged in. Probably won't be on much if at all this week.
  11. YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARDDDDDDDDDDDDDD....... YESS! Jose Abreu walk-off grand slam!
  12. What do you think about this three-team deal, Spanky?
  13. I tend to deal a lot with TCA, z3r0s, havok, FTD and jays_fever because they're open to just about anything and usually respond quickly. It leads to a lot of potential trade permutations. Some owners tend to make certain players untouchable, or they'll only be interested in trading a select group of players. There's nothing wrong with that approach, and I respect it, it's just not conducive to my trading style. I don't avoid trade talks with any owners though. If a fit exists I pursue it. lol. I could package up to #3 if you're open to that!
  14. No, I'm like the only person in the league who hasn't owned Glasnow lol. I had a deal agreed to with you involving him at the time. Yep, that was it. For whatever reason, your team has never fit into my deals. The needs don't work out.
  15. You turned it down right away because it didn't fit your team. I said I could give you Glasnow, Piscotty and the #73 pick. Butler's the guy I was shopping in the BBDL thread a couple weeks ago. I like his skills.
  16. You should have traded Butler to me in November! I offered a pretty good package. He should turn it around though.
  17. I'd be interested to know what McGowan's TIPS and xxFIP are after yesterday's outing.
  18. Sandoval's valuable even if he doesn't get back to hitting lots of bombs. He's only 27 and his innate hitting ability will allow him to be an above-average option long-term. Sammy filled one of the biggest holes in the league with a good player, and he had pitching depth to spare. This trade is the quintessential three-teamer, really. Everyone filled their holes and at fair prices.
  19. Cain probably will continue to give up more homers and post a 3.5+ ERA, but he's always (even last year) been a great OBPA guy and the K/BB should continue to be decent too. And his PD numbers haven't really changed. I don't think there's a threat of sudden velocity loss either; he's been between 91.1 and 91.5 for five straight seasons. Maybe more of a good #3 though. The league has changed since he was a #2, lots of guys get more strikeouts.
  20. No, he strictly a first baseman now. That was part of the motivation for me. z3r0s was desperate for a long-term first baseman, so he's happy with Mauer. And I assume he's confident in Pinto long-term. I like Cain a fair amount. Durability is very important to me and I think he can get back to being the decent #2 he was a couple years ago.
  21. Trade just finalized: To BALCO PHARM TEAM: Brian McCann (ICN), Matt Cain (TLT), MiLB #41 (TLT) To (INSERT CLEVER NAME): Joe Mauer (BPT), Jonathan Singleton* (BPT), Matt Davidson* (BPT) To THE LYON TAMER: Pablo Sandoval (ICN), MiLB #72 (ICN) *Singleton and Davidson will transfer from BPT's farm system into ICN's.
  22. We've already passed the free agent deadline thing; we'll have Stroman for an extra year if he's called up now. I honestly don't care about Super Two. It may cost the team $6M or so four years down the road. If Stroman pitches well enough to think about his arb prices, nobody will care about said arb prices. And any extra win he can get us this year is worth crazy $$. #FREESTROMAN
  23. Nice! I didn't know it was an automatic thing.
