  1. gotta lover Jose rolling over on week grounders to 3rd base..... hero ball rules!!!
  2. Samson's haircut didn't help. Jays should kick the s*** out of the 12 year old girl they are facing. the Freak is so 2 years ago.
  3. I'm going to take Jose tonight against SF.
  4. time to start try outs for next year now. no reason to keep s***** players just so that AA doesn't lose face. lol at this point that's the last thing he should be worrying about, but he doesn't seem to get that players care more about winning and money more than the promises to play bad players even if they are s***. they can trade JJ at the trade deadline if he can put up some good numbers between tomorrow and the deadline. boni and Izturis are worse than DeRosa who everyone hated preseason. he's done his job as the 25th man.
  5. no reason to hate Dickey. you would have signed that deal too. take your anger out on the person behind the contract.
  6. throw Bumfiasco and Izturis in the s***** box with JPA. AA summed up his baseball IQ when he said that the Miami deal hinged on Bumfiasco. he's been just as oblivious and arrogant as JPA. add Lawrie's mental break down showing his lust for personal numbers, he's firmly shoved himself in the oblivious box as well. AA/Beeston/scouting staff have shown themselves wanting.
  7. AA is never going to admit he screwed the pooch, so I think we are going to be having this kind of thread until AA is thrown from the CN Tower along with Beeston and that ugly dog Beeston wears on his head. he looks like an evil dick-tator http://storage.canoe.ca/v1/dynamic_resize/?src=http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Baseball/MLB/Toronto/2012/09/20/BEE248.jpg&size=250x600&quality=85
  8. Christmas Cake Recipe Cook Time: 4 hours, 30 minutes Total Time: 5 hours, 30 minutes Ingredients: 1lb 2oz/525g currants 8oz/ 225g golden raisins/sultanas* 8oz / 225g raisins 4oz / 110g mixed candied peel, finely chopped 6oz / 165 glace cherries, halved 10oz/ 300g all purpose or plain flour Pinch salt ½ level tsp mixed spice ** ½ level tsp ground cinnamon ½ level tsp freshly ground nutmeg 2½ sticks / 300g butter, slightly softened 10 oz / 300g soft brown sugar Zest of ½ lemon 6 large eggs, lightly beaten 3 tbsp brandy, plus extra for feeding Preparation: Heat the oven to 300°F/150°C/Gas 2 The temperature is low as the cake needs a long slow bake. It is packed with sugars, fruits and brandy and if the temperature is any higher the outside of the cake will burn and the inside be undercooked. Line a 9 inch cake tin with 2 thicknesses of parchment or greaseproof paper. Tie a double band of brown or newspaper paper around the outside. This acts as an insulator and to prevent the cake from burning on the outside read more about why here. In a large roomy baking bowl mix the currants, sultanas, raisins, peel and cherries with the flour, salt and spices. In another large bowl cream the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the lemon zest. Add the beaten egg to the butter mixture a little bit at a time, beating well after each addition - do not try to rush this process as the mixture could curdle. If it does curdle simply add a tbsp of flour and mix again, this should bring the mixture back together. If it doesn't come back together, don't fret, the cake will still be delicious. Carefully fold in half the flour and fruit into the egg and butter mixture, once incorporated repeat with the remaining flour and fruit. Finally add the brandy. Spoon the cake mixture into the prepared cake tin making sure there are no air pockets. Once filled smooth the surface with the back of s spoon and make a slight dip in the center (this will rise back up again during cooking and create a smooth surface for icing the cake). Finally, using a piece of paper towel clean up any smears of cake batter on the greaseproof wrapping, if left on they will burn, and though it won't affect the cake, it doesn't smell too good. Stand the tin on a double layer of newspaper in the lower part of the oven, if you have a gas oven ensure the paper is well away from the any flame, and bake for 4½ hours. If the cake is browning too rapidly, cover the tin with a double layer of greaseproof or parchment paper after 2½ hours. During the cooking time avoid opening the oven door too often as this may cause the cake to collapse. After 4½ hours check the cake is cooked. The cake should be nicely risen and a deep brown all over. Insert a skewer or fine knife into the centre of the cake. If there is sticky dough on the skewer when you pull it out it needs cooking longer, if it is clean, the cake's done and remove from the oven. Leave the cake to cool in the tin on a wire rack for an hour, then remove from the tin and leave to cool completely. Once cooled prick the surface of the cake with a fine metal skewer and slowly pour over 2 - 3 tbsp brandy. This feeding should be repeated every two weeks up until Christmas. The cake should be stored wrapped in greaseproof or parchment paper in an airtight tin.
  9. drinking scotch at that kind of level is such a waste. unless you are referring to the generalization of whiskey and including vile, cheap, throat burning, gut rot it's a waste of money. lol even still whiskey hangovers are only second to tequila hangovers for brutality and the cheaper the s*** the worse the pain up and down.
  10. melky and then JPA after that? neither of them are more than about 670-705ish
  11. just had to count out the guys I knew weren't on that list. lol working backwards can be easier with some things. I know it's not Jose or ED. I know it's not Lind, he's on fire. I know it's not Rasmus, he has had enough walks and HRs to keep his numbers up. so it's the other guys. lol Melky was a slap hitter for the month of April, but got his bitch on in May and hit everything.
  12. I guess I could of said the last 4 guys in the lineup when we play an american league team.
  13. kawasaki has no power... so 1, Blanco but he hardly plays 2, Izturis is a strike out powerless noodle arm 3, ? isn't Bonifacio in there too... he has a couple triples and a couple HR, but he's an auto out most AB. so 4? Lawrie is only hitting 185ish... but he has a couple HRs, so I think he's not quite that sucky. jpa has too many HRs to be in that group... but that would be the next guess. Melky has not had much power either, but he's on base all the time and had a miracle revival in may... so he should be safe. I think everyone else should be 700 or higher.
  14. aren't there enough of those already? lol seriously....
  15. there will be no pleasing most Jays fans. if AA makes a move, it will most likely involve a player(s) that the fans have meaningless attachment too and if he doesn't make a trade they will hate him for not doing it. I think AA needs to trade some age to move forward(not for this years results). unless Rogers is going late 90s early 2000s Yankees nuts with money, the jays need to unload some wage and age at the deadline. that will mean some big names other than just JJ being dealt and JJ might not even be trade-able if he doesn't get healthy and put up some numbers soon.
  16. I'll take Jose tonight. I hate west coast games. just way to late for me. that 4am start is brutal so I have to watch the next day.
  17. jays are gonna be 16-18 games under 500 by the all star game. it's really ugly. last nights game had the two lefties hitting the lefty and everyone else unable to get their collective heads out of there collective ass. 2 good pitching outings in a row that the D and O had not taken advantage of.
  18. good night everyone. I simply cant stay up to watch these. it's already 4:15am-.--- things to do tomorrow. win 1 for me!!
