I hear ya bro... it's all a matter of perspective. Ortiz makes a lot of guys look good. about 6-7 weeks until Hutch comes back. 2 months+ until drabek is back. MS probably gets to the jays before either of those 2.

pitching to contact isn't great when he's leaving too many belt high. those long shots will be HRs in the RC. it will be interesting to see if he has anything left.

the problem the jays have is that they have 5 guys, in the every day lineup, who should just STFU and stop making outs, but instead they are trying to be heros and have no clue of their roles.

too many weak links still. we have a catcher who's number one tool is the fact that he's a tool. the upside pretty much ends after that. We have no one who can play second base, yet they send out any one of several elves they employ for their circus. Dickey and Buehrle have come around and started being useful, but the rotation has leprosy and we never know who's Dickey will fall off next. we have to hope that Thole catches and hits his way into catching a LOT of games so we get less of twitter boy.

any lineup that doesn't have JPA coming up in high leverage situations works for me. amazing how many times it was JPA or Bumfiasco that came up today with RISP and 2 outs. those two have their pictures in the baseball dictionary under the term rally killer. both those loser piss me off to no end because they both think they're great and have no clue how F-ing horrid they are.

I guess you dont understand what I meant. their elimination number is 93. any combination of teams in front wining or jays losing pulls the number down.

Jays are really unlucky that their GM thinks JPA is a viable major league catcher, that Bonifacio can play baseball... luck plays such a big role. OBP means nothing, if you played ball you'd know that! lol

Jays need to rethink how they approach the preseason. the team was NOT ready to play april 1st. too many AB, too many pitches and too much thought was giving to s***** players who were never going to make this team. that's on AA for picking through the rubbish on an all in season and on Gibbons for not telling AA to FO.

no, just linked the fact that he has done a U turn all many his policies that were his mantra the first years on the job. he also just fired Blank-O and he had promised him he wouldn't. what are AA's core beliefs now?

yeah, you have to wonder if they know some of these guys just wont sign. if they have 3-4 of the top ten rounds not sign, they get a very nice set of picks next year.

only guy who wasn't taken way above the perceived placement. AA said many times that you draft the best player available when your pick comes. apparently that has been thrown under the bus along with building a sustainable contender.
