I think it's "dues." that 1950s attitude that the young kid needs to pay his dues as well as the large number voters that are east coast based. Angels games are just too late for those old f***s to watch. lol
it's amazing how much Offense plays a role in GG voting.
the Fossils that do the voting go with the guy that won the year before as long as the player hasn't had a bad offensive year.
I think once Trout gets on the top of the list he could stay for a few years. I just hope it doesn't take forever.
in decline, you dont ever make the play you used to (ala Derek Jeter the last 3 years of his career) Reyes isn't as fast as he used to be, but he can still turn it on. If he stays healthy we will see which it is.
dude has two levels, coast and balls to the wall.... His A game is great and his B game is NOT attractive. Need him hitting and we really need him to be getting to balls up the middle. you could count on one hand the diving plays he made up the middle last year.
could be... the conversation was more talking about the trend of the bobble so far. no one said he was s*** or that he can't play, just that he hasn't fielded cleanly.
A healthy and motivated Reyes would make a huge difference to any lineup. I like idea of him hitting triples all year to set the table for the big boppers who can be there to score him all year.
oh to dream.
I'm not saying he's bad... I'm saying he CAN'T be as bad as he's looked. Hard to say why it's happening, but saying it's not happening is silly. They will sort him out in AAA.
I think he has been reading the media hype and it's got to him.
he's looked like a catcher practicing blocking balls. it's not that he's bobbled a few, it's the fact that he hasn't fielded many balls cleanly. you'd expect the odd bobble but not every ball that comes to him.
glad you're setting the bar really high. lol
if it was JUST the two today it wouldn't be an issue. it's been more than once every game he's started. one time is one time, two times is twice and three times is a trend.
