  1. so people dont have to keep scrolling back to look http://s3.amazonaws.com/br-cdn/temp_images/2015/04/14/805a254ffc0f95bb847ef453b5a5f7de.gif?1429026873
  2. exactly... so moving him into the one hole makes sense. really isn't much different than hitting ninth except he leads off the first inning.
  3. Jose http://i.ytimg.com/vi/Mn0bahhK02E/hqdefault.jpg Reyes
  4. http://cache4.asset-cache.net/xc/sb10063680b-001-boy-wrapped-in-bubble-wrap-standing-on-porch-with.jpg?v=2&c=IWSAsset&k=2&d=ox_pUcNvp7G8kea0zMSvJHBUlMTTV_jUsv_IvAzWHayJynRo-blP_LfcXEKAQWOX0&b=ODU2
  5. just in... team to try new protective equipment. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_1OL7S8izd5g/TEd8qUY8wbI/AAAAAAAAFkE/bUuel2V4gsE/s1600/dude.jpg
  6. so far I dont think it matter where you put Travis. he just gets it. kid has sprayed balls all over the field. I think he could be a very good lead off guy. he's been our best hitter?
  7. cracked rib is better than stomach muscle or chest muscle tears/strains. it means 4 weeks to heal and 2 weeks to rehab and then Jose "Sugar Glass" Reyes should be good to go.
  8. it has to freak the hitters out having him right on top of them when he throws. he's at the front of the circle when he comes down. so his front foot is about 55" from the front edge of home plate, with his hand even closer. that would certainly freak me out. especially the way he hides the ball behind his back until he has kicked himself out away from the mound. I think it goes against the spirit of the rule. Walden's move is fine because it's one fluid motion. Capps is doing some drunken version of triple jump. hop, step, throw....
  9. Buehrle has a noodle arm and Dickey doesn't have a ligament to repair.
  10. I agree. It's not a big cost to the team to treat the scouts well, but it will make them work hard to keep up the relationship. I think AA could make a brilliant CEO to replace Beeston. He really understands the business side of things. Maybe we could replace him with someone a little more baseball savvy?
  11. need to get a little closer to the plate early in the count and look outside half of the plate and drive it the other way. it wont take many kits to change what teams are doing
  12. it's valid point. but it was about 35... still not many.
  13. Sanchez going to the pen means he will still only have 2 pitches at the end of the year. He REALLY needs to go to AAA so he can learn 1 more pitch that he's 100% with and another he's very comfortable with. right now he barely has one pitch most of the time. it's a fastball that's going somewhere.... need to get him sorted before they make him into Drabek.
  14. He's probably the best option right now. question is if they have someone else who could be ready in august
  15. I wonder if they would think about stretching out Osuna. he is much more complete as a starter than Sanchez. I think he has enough experience to do it.
  16. the big bats need to learn how to deal with outside pitching. until they show they can they will be getting a steady diet of that s***. teams are smart and the better pitchers will exploit the weakness until the hitter show they can deal with it.
  17. less reaction time for hitter. it's more than 2 feet closer. he hides the ball behind him so it's hard to pick up and all the funky movement would make it hard for a hitter.
  18. walden looks like he's putting a lot more torque on his elbow. Capps is just launching his starting point forward. watch when he starts his move from behind his back. he's already in his new position and walden is slinging through his entire move. I think Walden's move is legal. it's a fluid movement whereas Capps has several separate parts... at least as I see it mechanically.
  19. it's just always something... hopefully this is not too bad
  20. dude is sugar glass. he'd looked the best he's been since he became a jay, but that doesn't help if he's broken all the time. it's beyond ridiculous.
  21. he's half way to home plate when he releases the ball. I would say that it would be ok if it was a natural motion, but this is not natural.
  22. it just feels like Reyes is on the books forever... and ever... and ever.
  23. anyone can pay to go to camps. They are cool and you get lots of good info from players, umps, league admins. you can even grab a few autographs, but it really doesn't help you are a player. Most of the help is good for your ball organization. teaching coaches how to work with players, how to deal with umps, umps how to deal players... some great workshops. I've been to a few, but It game me zero baseball skill, but since it was mid January it made me miss baseball and get back at indoor work. no outisde work here until very late march if you are lucky. I can remember playing on a field that was still frozen solid in the start of april... about a million years ago. no state of the art facilities here. we had a gym with weight room, incling running machines, stationary bikes, rowing machines and a 70 ft long hall we could warm up our arms. Pitchers had to start in the hall to get their 60'6". it work.... 25 years ago... time flies.
  24. I'd throw some credit at the heart of the lineup. bases loaded no one out.... 1 run.
