  1. I live about 6000 miles from the stadium. I dont get there often
  2. I dont like stress or people.... so I get there when the park opens whether there is a giveaway or not. Love to just sit and take it all in. Don't really care about autographs, but my daughter has a ball that Sidney Ponson gave her and then came back to sign. the bullpen coach game the kids a handful of gum on the way to the pen as well.
  3. have to wait?? watch batting practice? best access to players is pregame.
  4. remember folks it's SARCASM FREE SUNDAY be nice and have fun.
  5. Miller is due a pounding.... why not the have the jays do it
  6. I agree.... he's stolen some strikes, but he has also been crossed up when he really didn't know where the ball was going a few times. He is getting better with the staff, but Dickey is a guessing game for anyone. It would probably best for Thole to bring his crystal ball and do all the guessing while Martin learns everyone else. having Navarro gone would also give a lot less reason to put EE at first as well. I think the smart kids call that a win win scenario. lol
  7. ERA 1.23 7.1 innings 5 hits 1 ER 3 BB 5 SO WHIP 1.09 not so horrible.
  8. but we are not judging Navarro on 2 weeks of games, we are judging him on how s***** he has been for years. This movie has a very predictable ending. lol Navarro threw a hissy fit about not being the every day guy and other teams know that. So any team who MIGHT have seen him as a back up option now know he has a s***** attitude. He can try to walk it back all he wants, but he thinks he's better than he is.
  9. The pitch ends up 6 inches lower than the glove started? most of the people on the board could catch that. show me a guy catching a ball that ends up 8 inches to the right and have it bounce and be caught for a strike, that would be impressive. lol
  10. Game 13 Miller vs (RHP) Travis (2pts) - Jonn Donaldson (1pt) - Joey Bats (1pt) - o2cui2i E Rex (1pt) - Pillar (5pts) - Martin (3pts) - Orgfiller Smoak (2pts) - Pompey (4pts) - Goins (7pts) - Navarro (3pts) - Valencia (6pts) - Bench (8pts) -
  11. He's still a very valuable piece and he will get offered a deal somewhere. question is if he has the heart to do another year and make 20+ million more. If the right deal came up he would probably do it. A team closer to Florida that has a top chance of post season play and no silly dog laws.... he might, but I doubt he wants to be in Canada again next year
  12. He's learning every pitcher. it's not easy when he has to learn the break on every guys pitches. It will take him months to learn. He's never caught any of them before. You can see it's there. His hands are very relaxed and the movement is slight, but if you are like that and you are not used to tracking a guys stuff you can look really s*****. Framing is about having your glove in the right place before the ball gets close to the plate so that the movement is nominal and the ump gets a solid look without the glove making much last second adjustments. hard to do if you're not SURE where it's gonna end up. He'll learn which guys slider breaks 3" and which guys slider breaks 6" with time.... assess him after the all star break.
  13. yeah... was hoping he would get moved when Gomes went down.
  14. that's still just speculation. being able to trade Navarro and saving the rest of his salary would give them some room for sure, but no one but AA really knows and he's never going to give a straight answer.
  15. For sure, but it's not going so well. I'm sure he'll get better with time, but is it going to take him too much extra time to settle in with the whole staff because of it? At this point taking Dickey off his plate and having Thole do it might not be wrong. might need to make adjustments from the original plan.
  16. he's catching Dickey because Navarro is s***, but has to be window dressed to hopefully have some other team have 2 catchers die in a terrible accident. I'm pretty sure that AA would love to trade away Navarro just for salary relief at this point. Thole had an option or else he'd probably still be Dickey's monkey. edit: Not sure how bad Navarro has to be or how much Martin has to struggle before AA would just let Navarro walk to bring back Thole.... hard to say. It might be hurting the team having Martin spending too much time learning how to catch Dickey and be learning the entire pitching staff at the same time.
  17. what are his numbers like if you take Dickey out of the equation? just curious and no I dont know.
  18. not at all. I'm pretty sure he thought he could unload Navarro for a pen arm. I dont think he'd end up where he is and Stroman going down kind of forced his hand when he had no money left. If stroman doesn't get hurt Sanchez is in the pen Redmond doesn't make the team and Castro is in AA. add the arm he thought he would be able to get for Navarro and here we are.
  19. and since the one bad game for Cecil he's had a few more. Loup and Cecil have given up a s*** load already. only Redmond has been worse, but our rookie's innings will be gone in june and we will be f***ed. AA and Gibbons are pulling rabbits out of their ass at this point. AA spent all his money on Martin and didn't address the pen at all. I'm pretty sure that every team wanted at least one of our studs to do a deal and we don't attract the best FA because the team wont let it's 5 year policy slide.
  20. not really.... only if the guy in front of me does and I cant see from my seat. I don't jump ump on fly balls. I'll clap now and then, but I dont chant, wave or wander around the park. only time I left my seat last time was because my daughter wanted her picture taken with ace and that was when I was already up for the 7th inning stretch. I'm the same at hockey and football games. I dont really like people... especially when there is lots of them. I'm at the game in time for BP and I wait until everyone leaves after the game too before I make my way out. it only takes 15-20 minutes for everyone to push each other out after the game. I'd rather sit and wait instead of being one of the cattle fighting to get out.
  21. or when people stand up for an entire inning.... not all of us want to stand, but you cant see s*** if you dont stand when everyone else is. I'm short so I dont see s*** if the guy in front of me stands up. I dont pay $85 to look at his back. His girlfriends tits, maybe for a couple bucks, but not 85.
  22. I really dont understand the concept of going to stand in line at the concession stand during the game. you'll miss at least 2 innings. Might as well see the game at a sports bar.
