the jays should just keep it in their back pocket and take it up once things have cooled down. there have been a lot of incidents this year. more bench clearings than I remember in such a small time span. Sanchez probably loses pitches tonight and gets tossed after hitting someone and the benches clear out. I doubt there is more than shouting and maybe some pushing and shoving, but there have been a lot of players pick of bad injuries in the scrums. you really shouldn't want that to happen. If there is a brawl, there will be suspension and there could be injuries, perhaps season or career ending?? Jays can't afford to lose players.

Showalter's comments were much better this time. He should have shown restraint the first time.

Can you really blame Bautista for getting upset? He's not hitting and they are throwing at him? makes no sense. Why wake up the monster at all. Showalter asked for this by saying that it's Bautista's schtick... which it is, but going out making a comment after was stupid. Showalter wanted to trash talk. So far Jose's HRs are the last word, but it's far from over. This could carry over for a couple years.

Showalter is to blame for a lot of this. his mouthing off after the Oday incident made his team feel entitled and pissed off the jays. I'd he's had kept his mouth shut this isnt half as bad. Oday has now thown behind Jose twice and he his a HR and now he did it again today. I'd be pissed if I thought the other team was throwing at me and their manager was shooting his mouth off. hitting the HR after is a huge alpha moment
