Rebounding is less of a need than a 3/D big is. And if Lowry is unhappy all Masai needs to do is finally fire Casey. Hope we make another acquisition. We still have another 1st, Sullinger, Bebe, Siakam, Poeltl, Norm and CoJo to deal if we want to. We have Ibaka and Patterson's bird rights so we can resign anyone but god knows this team isn't adding anyone else through free agency. I wonder if we start Norm or Carroll to replace Ross. Norm is better but Carroll might be a better fit. Also, Love out for 6 weeks. Now's the time to make a run.
  2. Just because it's called a "third baseman" doesn't mean I need three of them

Ibaka for Ross and a first Ibaka isn't actually great anymore but this should still be a good move

That is a super bowl party
  11. That's how it always starts. Then he just ends up getting taken advantage of.
  12. On second glance: Is Ian Kennedy the quintessential True Cardinal?
  13. Perpetually? Because that is every BTS team ever. Right down to Wei-Yin Chen.
  14. This pleases me greatly
  15. Just because FIP has predictive value does not make it a predictive stat. It is descriptive. Their strikeouts, walks, and home runs actually did happen, and are much more indicative of their skill than RA. That is why we have FIP WAR. It doesn't mean "this is what his WAR should be;" it represents his actual WAR. That is also why we don't have xFIP-WAR. Because xFIP is a predictive stat that did not actually happen, while WAR is a descriptive stat of what did happen. tl;dr FIP is a better predictor, but is still a better measure of "results" than RA, especially over a small sample. Although none of them are necessarily "good" for evaluating relief contributions
  16. Why are you looking at RA-9 rather than FIP over a 205 IP sample
  17. they are fake and awful
  18. I'm pretty sure you've used this one previously.

  21. Your dumn he's had two straight seasons of above average pitching. Happy birthday dumny!
  22. If everything breaks right they could have an above avg player at every position. With a good staff that's a semi competitive team. I'd take the over at 82 wins but probably not by much.
  23. What about Justin Wilson as a lefty trade target? 3.10 xFIP vs lefties, but also a 3.32 vs righties.
