I don't think he's worse than Ramon Ortiz.
^If someone had told me that's the standard I'd be holding our pitchers to a couple months ago, I would have flipped my s***.
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch aaaaaaaaa sloooooooooowwwwww dellllllllliiiiiiivvvvvvvvvveeeeeeerrrrrrryyyy.
I don't like our chances pitching a groundballer with this s*** defense, but hey, he succeeded once upon a time with Derek f***ing Jeter on defense at short, A-Roid at 3B, Cano at 2B, and Jason Giambi at 1B. The HIGHEST defensive rating on that team was 4.6 and their best defensive infielder was Jeter at -7.3 Fld rating. If he can have his best season with THAT defensive team, I think he may have an outside shot.

I agree with this, I think we'll be saving money, but it really comes down to how much Brentz wants. If he wants, say, 900k, maybe we can get both Brentz and Tewes signed. BUt if he wants, say, 1.4mm, then we may not get some guys signed.

I would LOVE to trade for him. Amazing buy low candidate. Him and Ackley.
"but the kids wanted to go back to school"
That means it's a college kid. It'd have to be Manea or Stanek, which makes no sense, because they're Boras clients.
Interesting..
So I found a word to describe our management

Overall, JJ's been pretty good. 3.86 xFIP with nice peripherals.
Random thought: JJ is playing really well when he's healthy this year. .349 BABIP and a ~13-14+ HR/FB% are killing him but his peripherals are kinda sexy.
Do you even have these stats, or are you just pulling these out of your ass? I'm not arguing that we haven't been clutch; I'm saying that you're overrated clutch and that the way you quantify it is really stupid.
