Right from Fast's spreadsheet:
JP Arencibia EstRuns: -12.9
Ryan Doumit EstRuns: -66.5
Ryan Doumit is a terrifying catcher
Is it just me, or is BTS always the one who gets accused of not being a fan because he's negative/realistic?
It isn't, he'll probably have to move off of SS imo. But the bat is looking good for sure.
Holy crap, nice. Glad to see he's doing well. I had him as our #27 prospect, may have to move him up.
Is this rhetorical/sarcastic/whatever? It's too damn late for me to pick up on that
If it's a legit question, I've seen him live and I can't stand his glove. His range seemed fine but I dunno if he'll be able to make plays consistently enough to stick at SS. He had 15 errors last year.
Once again, I'm hoping I'm wrong. I haven't read anything on his D recently (stopped paying attention to him, admittedly wrote him off), but he's putting up some damn good numbers.
Agreed. I think he has the highest likelihood of maintaining a high level of performance out of Loup/Delabar/Janssen/etc. He was a 2 win SP at one point. He was an extremely good pitcher before his dead arm crap and now he's basically a starter-level talent pitching in the bullpen (as he should be FTR).
But on the other hand, you gotta think someone would give something real nice for him.
How the f*** does he have a 121 wRC+? I have never liked the guy. Dude just can't play SS defense imo and I didn't see huge potential in the bat.
I hope I'm dead wrong.
That kinda scared me.
So he was a pretty decent prospect, not a TOP prospect, but a good one.
Or, just ignore every other example listed. Yeah, that works too bro.

He even specifies, limited. He is the reason the SSS song was created.
He's 20, an elite defender, has a .300 wOBA, is the #1 prospect in baseball. If you turn that trade down... man.
Ahem, you got ninja'd, good sir.
Curtis Granderson, with whom I share a birthday, involving like 20 all stars (Jackson, Scherzer, Kennedy, jesus)
Hell, the Roberto Alomar trade has a case
Ken Griffey, Jr to the Reds
There's not really a lack of precedent, I don't think.
Carlos Perez has a .315 OBP at AAA.
Asher Wojciechowski has a 2.82 ERA at AAA.
Joe Musgrove is striking out 8.76/9 at rookie ball.
Kevin Comer is playing similarly at A-.
JA Happ was trash this year and is now injured.
David Carpenter was traded for Farrell.
Brandon Lyon performed well but is now/was on the Mets.
It wasn't a horrendous trade imo. But good? I dunno if I'd go that far.
